This ghat can be easily reached from the temple. It seems like a good spot for bathing, but beware of the moss on the final step inside the water. It was very slippery and one has to catch the ropes. I'd recommend to just sit and observe the area around the ghats. If you are going for a bath, I recommend nearby areas with sand as it is safer to enter. The Ghat is clean and water is also relatively clean. The bonus of the ghat is direct access to the temple.

Stay in a local hotel. Come here in an auto. Get your clean clothes and hire a priest and a boat. Go to the other end of the ghay in the boat. Ladies do Ganga pujai. Then the priest will do his pujai and you can take your dip.
Difficult for women to change into dry clothes. Go back to the hotel and change your clothes. There is the kedareshwarar temple - a swambhu ancient Lingam. Ancient temple of Shiva.

What's in a name - I mean the name of the Ghat?! A lot, all these ghats run adjacent to one another but no two ghats are similar! You will be transfixed viewing the grandeur from your boat as you leave behind ghats one after the other ... go experience it, words can't describe!

This is one of the known Ganga ghats in Varanasi which has derived its name from Lord Shiva whose other name is Kedarnath. The ghat has a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Nowadays this ghat has become popular for hiring of boats by the tourists.

Kedar Ghat was named after Lord Kedar (another name of Lord Shiva). There is temple of Lord Kedar on western banks of river Ganges.
This is a scenic ghat of Varanasi with very less crowd and one can enjoy the full view of river Ganges.

Although, Dashwamedh Ghat has occupied the central position due to the commercial angle of boat ride and the ganges aarti.Scriptural importance has declared Kedar Ghat as the king of ghats.. Do enjoy the tea in the nearby tea stall especially in winters for masala tea they offer. I just love the temple of Kedar Linga .. holy, pious and full of positive vibes....Namah Shivaya.

One of the major ghats in Varanasi along the river Ganges. The Ghat organizes Ganga Aarti daily during the evening hours.

The Ghat can be accessed by road or can be viewed during the course of a boat ride which covers a stretch along the ganges river between Kedar Ghat and Manikarnika ghat.

Neat and clean ghat. Dont miss an excellent Gauri-Kedareswar mandir. Take a boat on hire and the Ganga ( ghat) darshan starts at about 4 pm. It takes you to Assi ghat at one end and Manikarnika at the other. Stops at the Dashashwamedh ghat for the Ganga aarti from about 5:00 pm for abot an hour. It is a must see and one evening should be kept reserved.
