Assi Ghat is one of the many ghats of Ganga River. It is believed to be the last of 80 holy ghats in Varanasi in ancient times. While the whole story can be read on Wikipedia, I love being at the bank of Ganga river. Love the city Varanasi and its beauty.

This ghat has nothing more then drop and pick up point for tourist. Known more for political rally's and morning yoga. It is one of very few ghat where car goes. Best thing about the place is a restaurant called pizzeria. to visit Varanasi for pizzeria only is worth.

This ghat is one of the famous ghats in Varanasi. Most of the foreign tourists reside in the nearby lanes of Assi ghat on rented accommodation and enjoy the beauty of Varanasi. Assi is last end of Confluence of two rivers Varuna and Assi which made Varanasi city.

Greeat place to hangout with your friends and family. View of river Ganga from here is just beautiful. You can do boating over here. Just a good time to spend with your lovely ones.

This is the ghat that you should start at in a boat and then view the other Ghats along the Ganges. A nice trip in a rowboat is recommended rather than a motorized boat.
