Kriti Gallery is a unique and incredible place - a world-class contemporary art gallery and artists residency venue with artists studios in the heart of the spiritual capital of India. It is an ideal place to experience contemporary art and for artists to work in an atmosphere of peace and intellectual stimulation. Kriti's owners have created a haven which allows... More

I stayed at Kriti Artist Residency in the summer of 2014 and visit the Gallery whenever we are in Varanasi. It is one of my favorite places in town. Why? Because of the garden. Because of the peacock I encountered there. Because of the gallery that has lit up days longing for beauty, art and another way of seeing things.... More

Come see a different angel of Varanasi. A contemporary Art gallery and an artist residency program. Enjoy the exhibitions, meet the artists and scholars who work on their projects and Vavneet Raman who runs it all with Banarasi passion.

Great trip to Kriti Gallery. Both the owners, Navneet and Petra were more than happy to spend time explaining the photography in the gallery (which is stunning by the way) and the background of the photographer. A great little excursion away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hub in Varanasi.

It was a great discovery to find a space like this, in the middle of Varanasi. Is posible to enjoy contemporay art in a silence and very peacfull place, is like an oassis in the middle of crowded city. I recommend talking with the owner and discover many artists who work with them. Congratulations for this nice project!!!

I noticed a flyer at the Open Hand Restaurant in Varanasi for platinum prints by a Japanese photographer. Being interested in such things, I decided that would be the perfect way to experience the contemporary art scene in Varanasi. The exhibit was as good as it gets. The gallery is a lovely space set back from a busy street. It... More
