Enjoyed a private concert of amazing quality at the International Music Center Ashram. The musicians are excellent and their passion for education is communicative. We could chat after the concert and ask as many questions as we wished about Indian classical music. We both enjoyed the concert and learned a lot. And it added to the charm of the visit of this incredible city.…

We were happy to see and listen to Sandeep on Tablas with his colleague (don't know the name) on Sitar. Beautiful atmosphere and very nice people!

Little and precious Ashram in Old Varanasi. I've been on 31th december for concert. But program offer much more : music from 8 pm to 5 am and ride boat on Ganga for 1th of the year. Gorgeous music, good food and all the people of the Ashram was perfect. Absolutely recommended !

I contacted the place through the Facebook page and although there were no concert that day, they were willing to do so for us if we wanted. It wasn't expensive and we had a great live classical Indian music concert.

So I played with a gentleman on the sitar. That was as musical as it got. The music ashram was closed (something I feel or guide should have known) and the rest of the tour consisted of our guide taking us for a walk along the ghats to the funeral pyres. Then it started to rain, and we and our guide departed. I think the tour has so much potential, but its stunted by Good research and lack of enthusiasm or care. It was not worth the money I payed.…
