Begum Hajrat Mahal is quite beautiful, not just kept by the maintenance. It was made to remember Begum Hajrat in ancient time. Must visit.

Situated in the heart of the city, it was built as a tribute to Begum Hazrat Mahal, the first wife of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, and played a very important role in mutiny of 1857.

This is the place where once Queen Victoria's statue was installed before .Surprisingly to view it one needs to pay park entry fees that have been handed over to private entities to run and maintain .

Hazrat Begum was one of the few women leaders who fought First War of Independence in 1857 against British in India. She was a queen. This park in city is dedicated to her memory. It is a huge park, quite beautiful. It is also a major center of political gatherings and public meetings. One get a sense of medieval history of town in this place.

Nice park near Hazratganj. It's named after Begum Hazrat Mahal, one of the important person involved in first war of Independence in 1857. Nice green space in a commercial area. Good for morning walk.
