Disappointing outcome so far given the experience we had at the store. Lots of pressure to buy, which we did (paid in full) and they promised to deliver by fedex. So far I’ve been given two different answers when I emailed and called but have...More
We had been looking for a specific carpet for a few days and our driver suggested we come here. They are the largest cooperative, working with 2500 families from around Agra. We were shown the full process from drawing the pattern, weaving, trimming, cleaning and...More
Like other reviewers, I start by saying our driver took us to this rug cooperative, and how grateful we are that he did. To see first hand how these top quality rugs are made and to learn about the complete process, including the ethics of...More
Like most note here the visit formed part of a guided tour of Agra. Our tour guide was very good & did ask if we wanted to see how the rugs & marble “artists” who create these beautiful things do it or buy a rug?...More
Our tour guide at the Taj Mahal dropped us off the three of us at this place without telling me. We go inside, and the dog and pony show was impressive. They show you how the carpets are made etc. Then they take you up...More
Interesting demonstration of hand made rugs. Bought one because of salesman skill, but we loved he rug. An interesting afternoon activity out of the heat. Incredible workmanship. Even got a beer. Well worth a visit. Buy a rug.

First you tour the rug making area and then you get the history of rug making while the men tie these knots of different colored material in a pattern. Then you’re taken to a showroom and a salesman talks to you about options in patterns...More
This shop has very good selection of carpets. Selling style is not always pleasant for a western visitor. Anyway, we bought one carpet after long bargaining. Have been happy with the carpet. Originally, we ended up here because of our driver.
