St. George,s Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of the Agra diocese. The church was established by the British for the high ranking British officers & since then the service continues to be in English language only.
Being the cathedral, Holy Communion is offered every Sunday morning.
The Church belongs to the Church of North India Synod , which is an union of 6 main churches in India and takes its lineage from the Church of England.
There is ample space for parking .
The Church has a policy to welcome anyone & everyone.

It is a magnificently beautiful building of yellow color with white dressings. The church is constructed in conventional style. It has a very small gateway for entrance. The interior is divided into a central core point and side corridor by six classical columns, carrying a slightly concave or domed roof. Later on, the cathedral in the eastern end has been gothicized with a carved white sandstone screen and the church table was prepared with what Agra is famous for i.e., the marble inlay work.

One hardly views Agra to be anything other than a Mughal city with Indo-Persian monuments. St George’s Cathedral is an example of traces of the Christian population that settled during the Colonial Era in India.

This former British Raj Protestant Church can be found in the Agra Cantonment Area, in Sadar Bazar. The Cathedral was one of the main places of worship for the Anglicans back during the British rule in India and continues to draw the Christian population in the nearby areas along with tourists. It was designed and constructed by Major General and Engineer J T Boileau in 1828, in a typical English Gothic style of architecture and has remained well preserved over the years.

Inside are various commemorations to non-commissioned officers and the Battalion of the East Surrey Regiment soldiers who died in battle or while serving in India. One can attend church service here that takes place at 9am every Sunday. Otherwise, permission is needed to view it as it remains locked on other days.

Idealy located with good parking space and the gathering is also limited. This gives ample space to concentrate.
