This is an additional treat that can be seen once inside the security area. It is lovely and I am glad I visited it, but be aware there are steps.

There are two identical and symmetrical red sandstone buildings either side of the glistening white Taj Mahal. This one is a Mosque and I believe that the other offers some type of accommodation. Photography is banned inside.

Two identical building flank each side of Taj Mahal. Built of red standstone they are huge and fine pieces of architecture. On Fridays, holy days, used as a working Mosque. The Taj is closed on a Friday because of this. Splendid building.

This is the place inside the Taj Mahal where people were doing the prayer to god. This gives the idea of olden days.
