We’ve spent a wonderful day in Agra and visited its pearl - Taj Mahal. Thanks to Kamal we’ve had a very informative tour and got acquainted not only with the history is the mausoleum but with the life and traditions of the Indian people. Definitely recommended to book a tour with this agency!

I have never holidayed in India but regularly stayed through work. After nigh on 15 years, a chance to visit the Taj Mahal arose, so off we went. The tour had been used by a friend so seemed logical to do the same.

Suresh picked me up in a small car from a Delhi hotel right on time. He drove well and was good company on the road trip to Agra and back. if you want more comfort, perhaps try asking what car will be used. Abdul met us at the Taj Mahal and was an excellent guide for both the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Not going to say anything more about the Taj Mahal but it was absolutely stunning and gentle crowds did not feel at all oppressive, more just calm, chilled and relaxed. Lovely.

Lunch was at the Taj hotel as a buffet. Solid. Mirza met us there to see if all went well which i thought was a nice touch. A few cheeky Kingfishers went down well.

Overall, a good experience and i would use this tour group again, and recommend them. We did visit two stores to see local artwork, one being inlaying of marble, the other gemstones. The hard sell was a bit of a pain so i would probably see the artists in action and skip the stores if i had my time again.

Dear Traveler Greetings ! We are so happy to have your lovely review and appreciation about all the services which we have given to you. On the other hand we express our apology for the feeling you had regarding promoting arts and aritsans from Agra. We will definitely send share the review with the tourism industry about the feeling you had while visiting the places of art and handicraft which is really not our part of services but just a support to these families who are related to there ancient families. We assure you that this incident will never happen and we have instructed the same to Mr Abdul Hope rest was the best. We look forward to your recommendations and support in future. Warm Regards Mirza Shadab Beg

My husband and I just returned from a 10 day trip to the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur) in Indian. Three things made our stay in Agra memorable, comfortable and delightful.
1. Engage a great driver. Invaluable in getting around the crazy streets of urban and rural India where drivers compete with camels, water buffalo, cows, goats and every manner of driver. 2. If you can swing it (its expensive) splurge on staying at the Oberoi Amar Vilas. Magical. With views of the Taj from each room. 3. Hire a guide for visiting the Taj and Red Fort. We engaged Mirza Athar Beg (http://www.agradaytourpackage.com/) and he was the best guide we could have imagined. Not only does he explain in detail everything you could want to know about the Taj and Red Fort ( history and how built) but he is also an AWESOME photographer! We just handed him our iPhones and he took about 200 of the best photos we have from our trip. We could just wander around and not worry about "capturing the moment". Super guide. Super service. Great value.

I've got nothing but praise for Mirza - he organized our trip to Agra extremely well, with us having to do pretty much nothing (other than pay him :-) )
It was our guide in Agra - Arther - who made the entire experience, well, interesting. Greatest hits
- An insistence on taking pictures. I mean, I understand that there is an entire category of "checklist tourists" whose aim in life is to have pictures taken of themselves in front of everything. We are *not* them! And despite our repeated insistence, he kept pushing people into "photogenic spots". Urghk.
- Too touchy-feely. In particular, with the women in our group, who, frankly, got quite uncomfortable with the whole thing
- Insistence on visiting Souvenir Emporiums. It didn't matter what we said, he kept pushing jewellers, marble-workers, etc on us, to the point of sheer annoyance.

Bottom line - use Mirza as your organizer, but insist on a guide other than Arther.
(Oh, also, I don't know if it'll help, but you might want to specifically tell Mirza that you're not interested in being carted around to Souvenir Emporiums)

Dear Sir It is very unfortunate on our part that the guide which was recommended from your end itself could not meet your expectations. I am not sure what makes you feel that he was pushy as he is considered to be the only guide in our pannel who is having a load of patience while doing the tours. He has been really working for big company's as well but there is no such complaint about his services and you may go ahead and see that he is the most demanding guide in trip advisor still. But in hospitality industry we say GUESTS IS ALWAYS RIGHT so we accept your complaint and we apologies for the inconvinienc caused to you Will make sure that such situations should not be repeated. Warm Regards Mirza Shadab Beg

I'm a solo lady traveler. My visit to Taj Mahal was last March 8, 2018 - whole day. When I was at the train I was a bit worried if I will not see the person who will pick me up - but Ather the guide was very in front of the door when it opened! He has a signage with my name on it.
It was easy exit from Agra station to the car waiting for me. I was expecting I will be on a small group but another surprise I have the guide Ather and driver Shukla for my own whole day tour !!!
My point of interest was Taj - and Ather was able to tell and explain everything about it. Even I have irrelevant questions he was still able to answer. Very knowledgeable guy. For me, it was indeed a very interesting tour. I skipped the marble and jewelry making. I only toured Taj and Agra fort and see a bit of Agra.

Both Ather and Shukla are very professional, prompt, courteous. I highly recommend them :)

We arrived the night before from Delhi. The trip down was an adventure in driving as we took the backroads instead of the expressway due to an accident on the expressway. The driver was courteous and helpful, but the drive was a bit of a whiteknuckler avoiding oncoming trucks and motorbikes.

Once arriving in Agra, I would have preferred to check into the hotel by myself, but the tour company did it for us, and we still had to go through the paperwork. The hotel was ok, but I had to remind myself I was in India. Billed as a 5 star, in the U.S. it would have been a 3 star.

Our guide was knowledable about the Taj Mahal and gave us a good tour. He also took some nice pictures of us. He gave us plenty of time to look around and take photos on our own. I wish he had given us a bit more background on the city of Agra, and suggested more things to do there than take us to shops (like ride an elephant or see more local flavor). Regarding the shops. I felt like I was taken into a trap. The first location was to see how the stonesmiths milled the stones for the inlays at the Taj Mahal. However, it was just a front to be taken into the gallery of the owner. The sales pitch was rehearsed and over the top. When I tried to negotiate, the owner did not budge and said all the prices were set. I walked out of the store feeling like I had wasted my time and was pushed into a trap. The same was true at two additional shops. I'm sure the guides get a cut or a fee for bringing tourists to the shops. I would have liked to have been consulted prior to being taken there. This left a bad taste after a good tour of the Taj.

It was then suggested we go to Sikrit to see another fort/palace. The trip was ok, but again I was met by another guide who had connections to both hawkers inside the fort, and outside. I was drawn into "donating" by buying a cloth to put in the muslim temple which made me feel uncomfortable as a Christian. I was then chased by the tour guide's cousin to sell me necklaces, and then was taken to the guide's brothers shop to buy overpriced stone carvings. Net, the tour seemed more like an excuse to supplement the guide's income than to show me the sites.

Dear Mr Paul, Hope you had a safe journey back home. It is very unfortunate on our part that we tried to avoid your travel to Agra by diverting the route to NH2. We thought it will be much better for you rather than stucking int he traffic jam than to reach Agra late. But i think it did't work out well on our part. As far as the hotel is concerned than i guess ITC MUGHAL is considered as 5 star luxury hotel in India. It is again unfortunate on our part and the management of ITC Mughal that they could not meet your expectations for which i personally apologies. Elephants are not available in Agra instantly and the local touch is in the form of art introduction. though we have routed your veiws about the sales pitch the department of tourism mentioning that we are recommending visitors to visit these places so these unique arts can be be kept alive and the aritsans can continue there bread and butter NOT TO PUSH our visitors for buying anything even if they dont want. I apologes once again. It would have been highly appreciated if there were few more lines about the quality of the car , prices of the car and the hospitality in Agra. I am greatful to you to write us your honest opinion as this will give us the opportunity to improve in certain sectors. Thanks for your valuable comments, Warm Regards Sincerely Yours Mirza Shadab Beg

Unfortunately, I was unable to join Mirza on a tour of Northern India, but I can say, that his email exchanges were extremely fluid and prompt, exactly what you need when you're planning a tour. I hope to return soon to do a tour with him!
