It's definitely worth to bring a visit to the fort. You need about 1 hour to see it. Beware of pick pockets. Most of the time 2 guys who follow you first for a while and than try to you in a place where you are just on your own.

Agra fort is very strategic fort in terms of modern times & with history. Half of the fort is occupied by the military, historically it housed the powerful rulers of Mughals.. each block represents history related to one Mughal king Akbar, Shahjahan & Aurangzeb, everything of this place just mesmerizing

This very large fort was once the prison of the Shah Jahan. Sadly, over the years, many aspects have not been well looked after, but the current custodian is attempting to keep it in a state suitable for future generations. Like many places in India it is best seen with a local, licensed guide who can tell stories of the... More

This is a vast complex, with much apparently still occupied by the army with a relatively small part open to visitors. The approach is impressive, through immense fortified ramparts. Once inside though, there are big expanses of lawns and some truly beautiful buildings. Wear sunglasses as some large areas of white marble can be quite blinding in the sun !... More

The fort offers fantastic views of the Taj Mahal and was where Shah Jahan was imprisoned during this final years. The fort has a... More

This is an excellent historical place to visit before visiting Taj Mahal. You can see the beauty of the place. Taj Mahalis fully visible which is across the Yamuna River.
