We had seen several forts by the time we visited Agra Fort. This one didn't seem as well preserved as some of the others (ie the Amber Fort at Jaipur), with many of the buildings showing the destruction or removal of the beautiful marble and precious/semi-precious stone inlays we had seen elsewhere. Honestly, preferred this to the Taj Majal. Really interesting fort with lots of history. Would have liked to see the sound and light show there.

I think you need a guide to explain all of this to you. So with a great guide, I found the Agra Fort extremely interesting. I would highly recommend going.

This is a beautifully preserved fort with plenty of interesting history. Getting a local guide to take you round will definitely the experience.
