Whilst the Taj Mahal is the obvious place to visit in Agra if you miss the Fort then you miss a little jewel - no it doesn't quite match up to Udaipur or Jaipur palace forts but it is large enough for a couple of hours wandering Built by a Mughal emperor, and embellished and added to by others, less... Nice to see and hear the history of the place. Go hear maybe before the Taj Mahal and get a bit of history before the awesome experience of the Taj!

As usual you have to avoid the hawkers but all you do is politely decline and it's no problem. The fort itself is very interesting with some great history. You also get a very good view of the Taj Mahal.

A good fort which stands as an example of mughal construction.A revisit to history and various events of the past. A paid guide is worth the money.

Built in the 15th century this is an architectural marvel. Allow at least two hours. It is an UNESCO world heritage site
