About
The only daily live show in India. Our show "Mohabbat The Taj" is based on the story behind the construction of the love saga Taj Mahal. The 16th century era is portrayed on stage by our professional artists. We also have interpretation facilities in 10 foreign languages. The highlight of the show is that the biggest replica of Taj Mahal appears on the stage and a light and sound show mesmerizes you with the Taj in different moods. We also have an Art Gallery which has a vast collection of Indian Handicrafts especially Marble Inlay. The live display of art and making of items by the artisans will give you an enthralling experience. Artifacts made by the great artisans of the country, collected from all the regions of India, have been preserved here. If someone wants to buy any artwork according to his choice, then there is also an arrangement and we also have arrangements to deliver it to every corner of the world.

Kalakriti's  Mohabbat-e-Taj performance is exceptional. For anyone who is interested in a musical history of The Taj it's a must do. The actors, the costumes, the stage, the performance ..everything is just awesome. The ticket prices are steep but then its totally worth it. And at the end the replica of Taj that is displayed is equally amazing, weighing a whopping 8 Tons+ and made over a period of 10 years, it itself is a marvel. There is also a photo ops opportunity at the end of the show.  Honestly the show requires a bit of a mature audience, the kids may not be able to appreciate the show. Also the base language is Urdu but headphone translations are available in about 11 languages.  Lastly the auditorium itself is a piece of architecture made with Makrana marble (the type of marble used for the Taj itself).

We were very lucky to be able to attend this show. It told the story of the Taj Mahal which was great and provided some context. The performers were all amazing. Highlight was being able to get a photo with the key performers at the end. Well worth it, loved it.

I went to this show with 5 friends dince our tour guide recommended it. We paid 3000 rupies/ person to sit in the second row (now we know that the price should have been 1200). The show is in bollywood style, with nice colours and fair choreography. However, dancers and actors are far less professional than one would expect paying this price. I do not recommend it for adults; in case you want to go, I suggest to buy cheaper tickets, and ask your tour guide to show them to you.

We were told we "had to" see this "wonderful" show while in Agra. That it's the only "cultural" show in Agra.

So after much convincing and debate we paid about 2600 rupees or $40 USD per person to sit in the Platinum section which are the first seven sections of the house to watch this show. Everyone got an audio guide with headphones so they can watch the hindi show in the language of their choice.

We get in our seats and the show starts. It's full on Bollywood dancing with outfits and make up that looked like they were done by aspiring make up artists in high school. Wigs were sideways and make up only went to half a cheek. Plus, there was no actual singing, just lip singing and lip singing like that one time Milli Vanilli got caught. Plus there was a delay with translation so you ended up listening to some hindi before some dramatic voice shows up in your ear.

The acting too went to new heights when the king straight up pulled a Michael Jackson screaming in the rain when his queen died (we all know the reason why the Taj was built) but I have to admit I did get a bit emotional when he pulled it together at the end to fall down and cry again.

But outside the terrible acting, costumes, and hair the dancing was on point and there were even dancing peacocks. I guess what can you expect from a serious tourist trap. So at the end of the show I looked at my mom like "What did we just watch?" and got out of there as soon as possible.

But some people in the audience loved it. Some gave them a standing ovation, like at least 10 people out of the full house, and I feel like if a person could get over the over acting, bad costumes, lip singing and technical issues, I could see some people liking this. But if you expect any of those things you can save your $40 dollars and go have a drink.

Other info: The show is under an hour and a half, about 80 minutes.

I could not quite understand why so many buses were standing outside this place in the evening when we went for shopping there. On making inquiries I came to know that almost all big hotels send their guests to this place for shopping and watching the musical The Taj. I myself did not see the musical as the ticket was too expensive for my pocket and moreover it looked more like a bollywood kind of play from the costumes etc in the adverts all over Agra.
The shop was very expensive. A fellow traveller in the hotel suggested to download apps from app store which has independent rating for shops in Agra. So I used one of them and landed in a small shop in the by-lane of Fatehabad Road and got a good deal on marble products. The same product was 5 times higher in Kalakriti. I personally believe Kalakriti may be paying huge sum of money to these hotels so that maximum tourist are forced to shop there. It is my opinion based on what I saw and what I heard.

A show with many videos and dances.
The dramatic part about the Mughal emperor, his wife, the Taj Malal and the court was absurd. The actors were really bad. They made us laugh.
The price is too expensive for India
