Lovely views of Taj

Not the most amazing gardens but they are working on them but lovely views across the river of the Taj Mahal, worth the visit for the views.

Supposed to be the best view from the back of the Taj Mahal Were supposed to be lush gardens, however appear to be abandoned green spaces. The legend tells that in this place are foundations for the construction of a new Taj Mahal the existing one would be of white marble, while the other one would be black. Must reset... More

Go at the beginning of sunset and be wowed by the emergence of pink on the marble of the Taj. So much has been written, so many photos taken; these alone are a wonder of the world.

Not much os a Bagh though, but a must visit for Taj Mahal enthusiasts. Sunset view Taj Mahal Mehtab Bagh is breathtaking and worth a visit. Normal visit during daytime is also worth the effort.

Mehtab Bagh (Hindi: मेहताब बाग़, Urdu: مہتاب باغ‎, translation: Moonlight Garden) is a charbagh complex in Agra, North India. It lies north of the Taj Mahal complex and the Agra Fort on the opposite side of the Yamuna River, in the flood plains.

Mehtab Bagh is on the back side of Taj Mahal. It is across the river Yamuna. You get the best back side view of Taj Mahal. The garden complex, square in shape, measures about 300 by 300 metres (980 ft × 980 ft) and is perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal on the opposite bank. It is also noted that... More

The Gardens may seem right opposite to the Taj Mahal, but reaching them through road takes time and distance. The Gardens has archaeological ruins as well. But the main reason to visit the Gardens is to view the Taj Mahal peacefully at sunset, which it perfectly offers. It provides another unique view of the Taj Mahal, and serves as a... More

Mehtab Bagh is a garden complex opposite the Taj Mahal, across the river, with unobstructed views to the Taj Mahal. It is a popular place to come before sunset to view the Taj Mahal from another side. Access to the gardens cost ₹200 per person, and note that the gardens close immediately after sunset, but if you enjoyed your visit... More

This lesser known and visited gardens was to be the site of the Black Taj Mahal. See the replica fountain and the foundations of another Taj Mahal that sadly was never built. Walk through the pretty gardens and view the Taj from the other side of the river. No tourists here and cheap to get in.
