This was a private group tour visit. We were professionally guided through the amazing Museum by Milind Mathur (4th Generation of the founding Family). The Museum artifacts presentation was simply marvelous, educational and entertaining. We followed the museum visit with a visit upstairs to the shop where we shown some of the mind blowing "Family Jewels". All in all this was a spell bounding experience. :)

started our visit by observing the beautiful display of tapestries in their museum. The jewels and the needlepoint were beyond amazing and well worth a visit! Enjoyed shopping for a special piece of jewelry and also got to see the basement level where the workers are producing the jewels.!

This place has an amazing collection worth the visit, even if you don't buy anything, but good luck! Of course you will want something. Please visit the museum downstairs.

This excellent jewellers store (appointment only) is well worth a visit. It is part museum, part shop. There are several priceless articles of Mughal jewellery on display, as well as exquisite pieces for sale. The shop also stocks beautiful evening bags in a wide and affordable price range. The star attraction is the work of Padmashri Shams, the master of 3D embroidery. The enormous canvasses are kept in museum conditions and are beautiful. It was a rare privilege to see work such as this. Definitely worth a visit.

We were on a group tour and stayed in Agra for a couple of nights. Our rep mentioned Kohinoor and some very impressive embroidered pictures which it was possible to go and view. We were a group of 24 and it was the end of the day, so only 4-5 decided to visit, but what a treat it turned out to be. The embroideries ares amazing and true works of art. We all agreed we had never seen anything quite like it. The next day the rest of the group were intrigued and the rep had to arrange a 2nd viewing for others to go and see.
We met the owners and they talked us through the process.
They sell embroidery and jewellery there, but no pressure to buy. However, they had some very individual designs and 2 or 3 of us did buy rings as they were nicer than we had seen elsewhere. We also felt less pressured to buy here than we had at other places.
Well worth a look if you get the chance.

I bought a beautiful ring at Kohinoor Jewellers when I visited with my group.
They had to adjust it for me since it was a bit too big. I continued with my trip in India wearing the ring, unfortunately, I found out that the ring was still too big since it kept turning around my finger.
We called the store and their representative came to Delhi , I returned the ring and got a full refund!
They have beautiful jewelry and works of art!
And with such a great service, it is a place to visit when you are in Agra!

This was a memorable experience. The family and staff at Kohinoor Jewellers exemplify professionalism. The showroom exudes luxury and the jewellery is amazing. The collection of magnificent 3D embroidery was unforgettable. Well worth a visit.
