Recently I have visited Sri Agneeswaraswami temple at Thirupugalur along with my parents & Abi sister (Myladuthurai), The temple is praised in the hymns of Saivite Saint Tirugnanasambandar and is counted as one of the 275 Paadal petra stalams. The presiding deity of the temple is Agneeswarar / Saranyapureeswarar along with his consort Karuthazkuzhali. We have offered our humble prayers to the deities. There are 3 different sanctum available for Lord Shiva - Where if we sit and meditate tells our past, present & future. It was a huge temple. A must visit for Lord Shiva devotees.…
