Calm n lonely place to spent quality time with family or couples. It’s a view point. We have to purchase tickets Rs 30 per adult and Rs 10 per kids. Binoculars are also available on Rent For Rs 50 only. Guides are also available for Rs 200, but you can find for Rs 100 next to ticket counter. This place is famous for shooting of few bollywood movies like Welcome, chor machaye shor, Raaz etc. you can have a clear view of Dolphins nose view point.

The place has some good views of Coonoor.

It is not different from other hill stations that have similar view points. As expected the place is neglected with safety bars either missing or so flimsy that you would think twice before resting on them.

Go over on a clear day and you will not be disappointed.

This time we have visited the COONOOR -Queens of hills
we have visited most Famous point at Coonoor "Lamb’s Rock" It provides an excellent view point to see Coimbatore plains and Hullical ravine is also visible from here. Another beautiful cascading wall in Coonoor is Law’s Waterfall; it is one of the prettiest places to visit. Another point to see is Ketty which is a beautiful landscape at a distance of 6 Kilometers from Coonoor. So if you are planning to visit Coonoor you are taking an extremely good decision because of its panoramic beauty.

The first vantage point we visited in Coonoor has a great view all around and local guides charge INR 150 and make it interesting with mention of a suicide point, the track of the Bollywood number 'Chaiyan Chaiyan', the location of the collapsing cottage on the cliff from the Bollywood movie 'Welcome' :D. Also apparently 3 states are seen from this point. Was discovered by a British army officer Lamb, hence the name, with around 5000feet height above sea level. Has monkeys around and is well maintained.

Lamb's rock is on the way to Dolphin nose.
There is small track to the view point, which is cemented mostly. Track is mostly secluded and there is medium to dense forestation on both sides & some monkeys. Its an easy track.
They have entry ticket before to start your climb, which is very strange and I wonder whose account this money goes. There are too many guides, who insist that you hire them to show all points and according to them you may miss if you go alone. I didn't hired one though.
Once you reach the top, you can enjoy the view which is more or less similar to any other view point on hills. You can overview city from top, which some were saying Coonoor and some saying Coimbatoire..... I don't know which city it is.
Before the entry point there are small shops and stalls selling tea, snacks and some souvenirs.
Go to this point if you like exploring different view points and don't mind walking.

There's nothing over here that one can see or do. As part of the package of the cab guy that we rented at the Coonor railway station that he was supposed to show us he got us here. Couple of stalls a entrance fee God knows why? And a few steps walk gets us to a view point. How many of the same old first in Ooty and then in Coonor. The guide was pestering us to take his services but we didn't and I suggest the same to the other travellers as well. Wonder why such a spot has been made as a tourist attraction. Avoid it!

this view point was not really worth the effort.. although it didnt help us that when we reached this viewpoint there was a mist all around and we could not see much.. but the view from dolphin's nose is definitely better than the view from lamb's rock..
