It is situated in amaravathinagar, Pollachi. This dam is most suitable to visit during rainy season because the water level is less during summer. We can see crocodiles and variety of fishes here. It is the only scenery in pollachi which has crocodiles.

Its a dam at Amaravathi river and its catchment area is really scenic. Not much activities to do at this place except see the beauty of nature. crocodile farm is another attraction.

Amaravathi dam is one of the major attraction in the city and is constructed for the purpose of irrigation and maintaining ecological balance of the region.Tourists throng to the site to witness crocodiles and fish species in the dam.Photographer enthusiast must visit this place.

It's a better place to visit for those who haven't seen the crocodiles yet. Amaravati dam which is very close to it also gives a good scenery

The dam situated udumalai to munnar road.no intresting in this place. One moment crocadile park inside the dam campus.no water in canals.no peoplw crowds.just one time visit is best.
