- PrakashKotagiri, India37 contributionsGood placeGoing on a temple visit trip sounds like a wonderful idea! Make sure to plan ahead, considering the locations, transportation, accommodations, and the specific temples you'd like to visit. It's also a good opportunity to learn about the history and significance of each temple you plan to include in your trip. Safe travels and enjoy your spiritual journey!Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 8, 2023
- Sandeep SharmaMumbai, India30 contributionsMesmerisingThe light and sound show begins at 7 pm and should not be missed. The place is crowded on weekends and holidays. If only there could be proper and numbered seating to ease the crowd it would be better for everyone. Otherwise the show is fantastic.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 30, 2023
- Sudheesh KNIndore, India88 contributionsRejuvenating experience!!!Just go for it. Nothing more to say. Keep in mind that you are going to visit a calm and peaceful place , so ensure that decorum at all time during your visit. May please keep cash with you to buy some things like Adiyogi mini sculptures etc from shops inside since mobiles are not allowed inside the premises. Only option left out to keep wallet with some good amount of cash. Enjoy !!!Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 25, 2023
- ArundevKerala, India34 contributionsWonderful experienceVisiting the Adiyogi Shiva statue was our main priority on our Coimbatore trip. We visited there in the evening and returned after the light show. It was crowded and busy. There are plenty of parking areas and many local shops for drinks and foods. Unfortunately, we found that most items are very expensive including small model of Adiyogi. But the surroundings of Adiyogi are a great feeling. This location is far from Coimbatore, around 30 km, 50+ minutes drive. You can opt for local buses to reach there or arrange a taxi or cab. Overall, this was a wonderful experience.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten March 20, 2024
- ronit gaikwadMumbai, India3,447 contributionsOne place that should give you ultimate peace and relaxation seeing the Shiva Statue !!!The Adiyogi, Shiva Statue, and the Temple are located at a distance of about 30 to 45 minutes from the central city of Coimbatore, depending on the time of the day and traffic. The statue is located inside the main ground, and you would need to walk a few steps to reach it. But the good point is there are plenty of clean washrooms built around and the parking space is enough to hold tons of cars even during holidays. The statue itself is mesmerizing and gives you a sense of eternal peace. The entire bust of Lord Shiva is soothing to the eyes, and the posture and facial reaction are made to look like he is in eternal meditation. There is also a tiny temple in front of the statue where you can offer flowers. Additionally, electric carts are operated from the statue to the main entrance and charge INR 10 per seat. This is useful in the case of elderly people. You will find a restaurant serving fantastic vegetarian food at the entrance, right opposite the temple. The prices are reasonable, quantity and taste are excellent. If you are visiting in the afternoon and especially in summer, you would need some sort of sun protection as the exposure is direct and tends to become extremely hot. Thus, the overall statue is impressive. It gives you a sense of calmness and makes you feel energized. This is a must-visit place when you are in Coimbatore.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 20, 2024

Purely made as Commercial center to extract money as much as they can. From Autos to Shops all charging over priced.
Its actually a picnic spot where if you have girl friend you can spend time without much disturbance from known persons.
Lots of outstation persons throng this place and it really makes me wonder how these people fall into this. Many people were seen shouting "Om Namah Shivaya" as we all know this is just a statue created recently and not anything related to the true GOD. Evens Shops inside temples like rameshwaram are selling these Adhi Yogi Statues. All False propaganda's to extract as much money as they can in the name of GOD.
The Good thing in this place is that at-least they have toilet facilities.
Its quite far from main entrance with No proper shelters. Will be difficult if you visit during Rainy times or in hot summers.
They extract money by offering you bullock carts to reach from Main Entrance to Adhi Yogi Statue.
Only deluxe buses available from Gandhipuram charging 40/- rs. No ordinary buses plying as everyone knows they can extract more money by plying deluxe buses. Autos charging at a extreme rate. You can visit by your own private vehicles also.
Lots of shops available on the way to Adhi Yogi Statue all belongs to Isha. Just to extract money, because if there is not shelter you will get thirsty in the hot SUN and will surely buy something to eat.
If you are going by Bus be prepared for returning as bus timings mentioned in the board are not proper.
Bus Fare = 40/- rs from Coimbatore Gandhipuram bus stand.
For History lovers you can come here and learn how the Western Ghats were Destroyed in the name of GOD.

1. We were not allowed to visit the Velliangiri Siva temple close by. Cottage guests are not allowed to leave their campus. They put a tag on your hand and there are security guys who continuously monitor your movements
2. We were told that kids and senior citizens are not allowed due to some covid protocol. My parents and kid couldn't accompany us for this reason. But when we reached there we saw people of all ages being allowed inside the campus

Adiyogi ashram Coimbatore:
We visited Adiyogi statue, Linga Bairavi and Dyanalingam on 4th October. There were no clear instructions anywhere and staff seemed disinterested. Near Adiyogi statue we have to purchase tokens and tickets for buggy ride. Due to lack of information we went upto Linga bairavi and had to come back to Adiyogi statue. While entering dyanalingam we were told to deposit mobiles. After we did this we were once again sent to get our bags scanned. Lot of running around due to lack of instructions

Everyone should atleast visit once. This place so calm that one would feel like meditating. The idol of Lord Shiva stands so beautifully with the mountain range is background, one would feel like getting lost in the divine.

Unlike any of the faces and expressions of Shiva that we get to regularly see, this behemoth overwhelms but does not appear unreal. The calmness of the face, the jawline, the flowing hair, the bareness of the bust almost thrusts the energy of the Lord himself of seeking his powers through this peaceful yoga of his, a spell that you yearn to experience as you get closer. But somehow, it turned out to be a neutral experience since I was undecided if I had to look at it as a work of art to appreciate or to relate to it as an idol of God, that was recently put up. Nevertheless, the heat got me going and I concluded that it was indeed great, for the various merits that I first noticed.
A new place, that too with the entire area laid out in stones, on a very hot afternoon, I burnt my soles looking for shade even after dozens of steps. Keeping in mind different age groups of visitors, the managers may have to consider making suitable arrangements to have a carpeted or cooled walk way.
I am happy with the calmness of the face and the bust is a unique form of Shiva that stays in the mind.
Devout or not, an experience there is a tribute we can offer to the human effort, epitomized by Sadhguru.

The statue is imposing towering high in the landscape. The face of Lord Shiva is arresting and mesmerizing. Well tiled pathway leading to the statue. Below it is the shivling . It was warm in the late afternoon although the crowd was not much. Worth a visit.

I had been to this place multiple times and every time am so pleasantly surprised with the serenity of the place. The majestic Adiyogi statue among green fields is a sight to behold. The place is full of Shiva symbolism and is very well maintained. I highly recommend a visit for anyone transiting through Coimbatore and have 3 to 4 hours to spend.
