Yelagiri in December 2020
Dec 2020 • Couples
For all of you who are planning to visit Yelagiri now (December 2000) please think twice. It is raining continuously and most of the tourist places such as the nature park, lake are closed due to Covid-19.

The temples such as Murugan temple, Perumal temple and Shiva temple are open. It may be a good idea to hire an auto rickshaw and go around since they are they are far apart.

Yellagiri venture
Feb 2020
We recently visited yellagiri and would like to share a wonderful experience. On the way to Fundera Park there is a woman who sells Dal Vada, Paddu near government school. I would request every one going to that way to stop by and have a taste of her food. Its amazing , better than the food which we get in restaurant. We almost ended up eating the vada as our lunch.
The most beautiful part which remains in my memory and I could visit Yellagiri again was the gesture of the old woman. It reminded me of the proverb

About Yelagiri Lake.
Dec 2019
Yelagiri Boating is one of the must visit place if you are travelling with family and are having kids. This is peaceful place not much crowded and one can enjoy the boating here with reasonable price. There is no proper maintenance due to which it's that not famous but if it was maintained then it would have been beautiful and ppl will definitely go to this place. There is a small eatery shop to eat hot hot bajji's or manchurias along with some small kids play area where kids can enjoy ride. Pedal boat is in full demand here and people like to pedal leisurely without any time restriction.

Short Getaway from Bangalore
Dec 2019
Yelagiri is a nice getaway from the city life and not far from Bangalore. Its 3-3.5 Hours drive from Bangalore and you can spend a nice weekend or have a stopover at this hill station enroute to some other destination.

The town is small one, has a small lake to do boating, and has a very nice nature park, followed by few nearby thrill adventure activities. Not a must visit but definitely a weekend relaxation option.

Small town silent
Dec 2019 • Family
If you are looking at going away from the hussel basel of the city life and Just want to watch the mountains and it’s greenery then this is the place , nothing fancy just a local town .
Things to see or do very few
The lake attached is a entertainment park with giant wheels etc as we used to see during our young age ,
The boating is primitive paddle boats and row boat , it could do with a quite a bit of tourist friendly make up .

The private adventure park , has a small zip line , a horrer house 7d theatre small one just to amuse the kids
Some birds to watch .

The drive up is nice

Nice and cozy place to visit. It is on par with Yecaud. It is just 150Kms from Bangalore enroute Chennai.

Decent hotels and nice attractions for 2 days. Adventure park good place to visit for teens.

Good food places like Jain Hotels.

Not very commercialized yet, which is what we want.

Beautiful but not much to do
Nov 2019
Go for a boat ride, visit some of the temples, be sure to trek- it's a great place to chill over a weekend- but there's not much to do overall. Make sure that you book a really good resort- ours was terrible and it made the visit that much worse. If possible- make sure you have your own transport.
