Peaceful and beautiful architecture
Feb 2021
Peaceful and beautiful architecture, located in the middle of the old city close to city palace and Gangaur Ghat.
There are 2 entries one from the chowk and the other is a back gate inside the lane.
Clean and well maintained.

Peaceful visit
Feb 2021 • Family
I was surprised not to see a donation box here. The temple is a scenic place to be at, but I felt could be maintained well in terms of cleanliness.

Lovely small temple in the heart of Udaipur
Feb 2020
I adore Udaipur - it's my first time visiting - but certainly won't be my last. We decided the best way to see the sights, was to grab a tuk tuk and see the city. I am a seasoned India-traveller, so knew if we stepped outside our hotel - just outside one of the gates to the old city - we would be bound to find ourselves a tuk tuk and that's is exactly what happened.
Luckily for us the first guy to pull over was Ali, who spoke excellent english and gave me a price I was more than happy to pay for the day.
First stop was Jagdish Temple and it was really lovely. Only small and easy to get around, this is a good stop for 20 minutes - lovely architecture and in full swing with worship going on whilst we were there.
Definately a place to put on your Udaipur itinerary.

Discover the chiseling/Beware of loud music
Nov 2019
The temple in itself is not the most spectacular one in the world but it still is a very active one and spirituality is combined with loud music. What is very worth visiting is the chiseling around the outer walls with many interesting details to be found. A guide might be helpful and take a taxi as there is no parking nearby.

NO dear , photographer is not allowed. You may use your own handphone for taking the snaps of the temple architecture but cannot take a separate photographer inside the temple.
