    Love it!
We did an art class at Ashoka art and it was amazing. Honestly one of the highlights of my trip to India. Hitesh, the teacher was great and I am really happy with what we created. It also makes you really appreciate how incredible the detailed art is. We also bought a few painting at the shop that they framer for us and I love them so much. Can't wait to put them up at home. Thank you Ashoka art.

    Painting lessons - amazing experience
The best experience we’ve had so far in India. The team were great fun and incredibly skilled, and helped us come away with some excellent small paintings (despite my lack of artistic talent). I would recommend this to anyone visiting Udaipur.

Fun, relaxing art class run by very talented and kind artist
We had such a fun afternoon learning about the local craft of miniature painting. My husband and I both picked 2 different designs and we were both patiently taught step by step how to recreate the artwork in the style but all by our self. It was a great activity to do together, even if you don’t normally do artwork or think it’s something you’d enjoy. I’d recommend giving it a try and this is the best place to do it for sure.

A great place - be it for shopping, learning, or admiring art. Very friendly and considerate people. Eager to answer questions about Indian arts, beliefs, customs, or contemporary life. No pressure to buy anything. Fair prices, which are fixed (no manipulation with your presumable "ability to afford paying more" or seasonal demand fluctuations). The selection of objects is diverse and ranges from very affordable good items to real real masterpieces(!).

Stumbled upon this place while browsing shops for paintings and curios. What caught my eye was that they gave Art Lessons in miniature paintings. Had an awesome 3 hr long session with Ali where we recreated a Rajasthani version of The Beatles - Abbey Road album cover! Rekindled my childhood love for the arts and was thankful to have this near-therapeutic experience!

I took an art class at this place. The teacher, Hitesh Sir is an extremely talented and amenable person. He is patient with his students and really cares about your progress. Additionally, he makes you comfortable during the session by chatting up, so that you can be relaxed enough to freely execute the painting.
Strongly recommend!!

This is an amazing place to buy beautiful Indian paintings. Art is getting rarer this days, let alone items of such ability, beauty and talent as the ones we’ve been shown. One of the best places in India I’ve ever visited. The owner and his son are highly talented artists and lovely human beings, too. This is the place to buy miniature paintings and more. Satisfaction guaranteed.

This store is somewhere you must see, enjoy the time with spectacular artifacts. Store was very clean and full of amazing things. All prices are written on each piece and you should not be afraid of cheating prices for tourists. Staff was very very friendly and reliable. We want to come again. Best store in Udaipur...

I attended a miniature painting workshop with Hitesh sir. The patience and instructions he had as a teacher was just so precise and crisp. The way a teacher motivates and pushes you to not give up was also that helped me complete my miniature painting . I am so glad I could find this workshop 🙏🫶🏻♥️
