Over the past 15 years, Sushma has been providing cooking classes to foreign guests who have travelled to India from all different parts of the world. If you sign up for one of her classes, you will enhance your knowledge of cuisine, develop your own cooking skills and indulge yourself in an unforgettable, traditional Rajasthani celebration of food under the guidance of this passionate and experienced teacher! Sushma’s love for cooking began at the young age of 10 while watching her grandmother cook traditional Indian meals for her family. After dipping into many spice jars and creating her own unique Indian dishes, Sushma quickly found her place in the kitchen. Sushma admits she truly is a lover of food and for this reason when she is in the kitchen, she appears as graceful and contented as a queen in her palace. She is most alive and vibrant when sharing the wealth of knowledge she has about food with others who have an appreciation for food.

A bit disappointing as the teacher clearly knew a lot and had great recipes but it wasn't very interesting to sit there watching the whole time. To repeat previous reviews, not really a class but more a demonstration.

Sushma was a lovely lady however I felt this was over priced for what it actually was.(1500rupees) We were really looking forward to learning how to cook our own dishes. This was not the case it was all a demonstration, slightly boring and we came away feeling we had not been involved in a cooking class. We also didnt get to... More

Sushma is lovely, and this was a great way to spend an afternoon. You learn some basic Northern Indian dishes, and then eat them afterwards. Definitely recommend!

What a wonderful experience with a special, talented and amazing lady. Thank you Sushma for sharing your knowledge and skills, for showing me how I can (hopefully) recreate these delicious traditional dishes at home. This is a "must do" item in Udaipur if you want to experience genuine Indian culture and hospitality and have lasting memories and skills to take... More

Sushma is such a lovely host and great teacher. We learnt a lot in the 2 hour class by watching her make three delicious curries and two different breads as well as masala chai. We will definitely be trying to recreate this dishes at home. Only downside is it is slightly expensive compared to other classes in the area however... More

We basically walked in off the street for this cooking class, which proved to be a highlight of our two weeks in India. Sushma was knowledgeable, accommodating, and talented. Her explanations were clear, she was very well prepared, and she involved all five members of our family in the cooking. Sushma was able to pack about two hours of information... More

We were very impressed by this cooking class - we were shown how to make five different dishes, all of which were delicious. The tuition was done in a relaxed and friendly way so the atmosphere in the school is superb. Give it a try, the food will not disappoint!

We made 3 delicious dishes and 3 different breads. The best dhal in Rajasthan? Possibly... We stirred, we smelled, we wielded tongs over flames. Sushma is a great cook and a lovely teacher. Highly recommend this class.
