Just a usual ghat which oversees Taj palace hotel. Lot of roof top restaurants in and around Gangaur that serves coffee, sandwiches etc. You need to walk to this ghat or take an Auto. Cars will not pass through the narrow lanes.

No entry ticket and it's open 24hrs.

This ghaat is the most popular one in Udaipur. The entry fee is free here. You can witness really nice sunset here. It is lively because of the pigeons in morning and in the evening a lot of small artisans are there selling products and playing local music. This ghaat had a lot of pre wedding shoots happening though when I visited in the early morning. I visited this Ghaat multiple times during my stay and loved it.

Trip to Udaipur is incomplete without seeing Gangaur ghat. The place is usually bustling with visitors. Try to go early in morning if you want to photo shoot during Golden hours.

Visited Gangour Ghat on April 7, 2022. The Ghat's location is wonderful. The Ghat is well maintained but sometimes not that well lit and clean. The lanes are too narrow there and usually jam packed with people. Lots of street food available there mainly during the Gangour festival that takes place during Navaratri, i.e. in April.
Good place to roam and see the local culture. However, the lake needs to be cleansed regurarly.

I had my hotel near Gangaur Ghat and this place is worth visiting in the early morning or late evening. It is serene and very beautiful. It is the main ghat located near the waterfront of Lake Pichola. Also a good place for Photographers.

A wonderful place to feel the old Udaipur vibe. In terms of visuals it is better to visit during sunset but sunrise time has its own charm also. There is no fee to enter the ghat and it offers good opportunity to photographers. Obviously this place is always crowded, even early morning I encountered a number of pre-wedding photography groups. Even then it is possible to find certain spots to enjoy this timeless place and even more surprisingly to take a few photos without too many people in it. A must visit spot in Udaipur.

Gangaur Ghat is a lovely place with options aplenty. You can visit the many temples that dot the area, take a dip in the lake, feed pigeons, take selfies / clicks or just relax.

Very cultural location. The folk dance at Bangore ki haveli next door is worth seeing. Surprised to see live music by youngsters at the ghat. This place needs to be cleaned well, though tourists are culprits. Need for toilet too
