The karni mata temple is situated on the top of the mountain and we can reach there through ropeway or by walking. The view from the top is amazing and during sunset it becomes so beautiful to watch the scene. We can see the whole city and specially the pichola lake and the city Palace.

A small temple of deity revered by Maharanas of Udaipur was built by Maharana Karan Singh in 17th Century.
The vehicles taking people could go to the lake level. People could use the ropecar, shared car would cast as of Nov 2023 around 100 Rs per person. On a non-busy day there won't be any wait for a car to take one. Otherwise there is a token system followed. The ride would be of around 10 minutes one side. The view available from rising rope car is really good. It is suggested to get the lowest of the cars to get better view of both lakes and the surrounding landmarks.
The temple is a little distance and elevation away from the top station. At the time of our visit the temple premises was being developed with marble pillars. The temple is worth the visit.

This temple is on hills there is lot of walking upwards before you reach ropeway. So it is suggestible to take a auto for the ride.
At ropeway they will charge 110/- pp.
We have been here at evening, the views are so lashy & the look of city is marvelous.

This place provides the best view of Lake pichola on one side and udaipur city on other. There are 3-4 spots from where you can take photos.
Ropeway to temple ticket price is also decent but make sure you visit early morning 9-10 am to avoid waiting in line for ropeway car. Sometimes waiting period can be as long as 2 hours. It takes 2-3 minutes to reach the temple via ropeway.
There is restaurant at the top also where you can have food which is average. Would recommend this place to everyone who visit Udaipur and it is much better than over priced city palace.

Here Temple and Dargah are beside each other which is a solid example of united India and religious unity.
I think it is a must-visit the place once if you are in Udaipur.
Ropeway experience is also a good one. I actually like the places at high from sea levels.
It serves as a boon for the people who intend to visit the historical locations at the Machhala Hill and the renowned Karni Mata Temple. In the previous days people used to strive hard and climb numerous stairs in order to seek blessings of the Goddess, with the construction of Ropeway, several worshippers who were unable to climb up the stairs, fulfilled their wish by travelling in the ropeway up hill.
Ticket for Ropeway was Rs. 87 + GST so it was around 120 Rs. per person. Price is worth the experience. Price includes two way transit.

Karni Mata Temple is a Hindu temple located on the Machla Magra Hills , one can hike from the base or take a rope way to reach this place . Rope way cost 103 INR per person .
After reaching to the cable car stop point, one has to walk through steps to reach Karni Mata's Temple. Inside the temple there is a white stone idol of the goddess Karni Mata. Temple premises are under construction/ renovation as of now.
Legend has it that Karni Mata was born in 1387 AD in village Suwap near Phalodi in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. She was born as the seventh daughter in Charan family and worshiped as a reincarnation of goddess Durga. It is believed that she restored life of her dead son who reincarnated as rat and since then all her relatives take birth as rats after death and stay together as family.
One has to walk or climb little will find a shrine of Pahad Wale Baba also known as Malang Sarkar at the Cannon Point
View is stunning in one word.

Short distance away from the Railway station, this place is quite popular among locals and tourists. The temple is up on the hills. So either take a ropeway (costs Rs 120 per person) or you can trek through. Small but beautiful temple. We felt good vibes. Good view from top. Overall a beautiful place to visit while in Udaipur.

We took a hike up the hill, through the park and walked with the monkeys and goats to the temple at the top. The view was incredible and it was a great morning exercise. If you’re not that energetic you can take the rope car up.
