Mohanlal Verhomal was the legend of spices in JOdhpur city of Rajasthan. He was the pioneer of the spices. He was the first person to introduce and sell spices to the tourists coming from all over the world. His aim was to provide the best quality and best blends of spices to the foreign tourists. He made JOdhpur city (dry) popular for the spices with his mixing s and best quality spices and service. MV Spices is the old and original spices-seller of the city with great quality and service to the tourist. He and his spices are recommended by all the travel guide books.Unfortunately, Mr.Mohanlal Verhomal expired in 2004, leaving behind his family of seven daughters and his wife. Since they are women, but still they took step against the soceity to continue with the business in this men-dominating society of India. After his death, there are lots of duplicate shops around the market, they all have similar name, as they have-MV SPICES.All the other spices shops start their name with "M"-to confuse tourists. When you will visit the store you will find one of the daughter of Mr.Mohanlal Verhomal to explain you about the spices, teas and saffron. Meanwhile you can have a cup chai with them.More details you will find when you will visit the store.

I can only recommend this spice shop in Jodhpur, not only for tourists. Our family took the masalas back to Mumbai, Switzerland, and the UK. Kavita just sent us a recipe booklet, which is great as it allows us to try out some of the amazing masalas we purchased!

During our stay in Jodhpur, we stopped at this shop to buy spices and teas. We were welcomed by Nikki, the shop owner who offered us a tea, then took some time to explain and show variety of teas and spices. She was very customer-oriented and we never felt pressure for buying. We bought some great teas and a few... More

MV Spices is a company now run by seven sisters and their mother, after they took it over from their late father ten years ago. There are several MV Spices around Jodhpur, each run by a different sister, I walked into Nikkis'. Nikki taught me about the various different Masala's, spice mixtures and teas, and when to use them. Nikki... More

Visiting this shop was a fun experience. The owner was very friendly. She ofered us a cup of tea and showed us the difference between fake and real saffron. Her english is amazing so you can ask her anything about the spices. Also she is not a pushy sellers like most of them are in India.

We visited Mohanlal Verhomal Spices In December 2016. A fantastic spice shop with shelves full of spices. Nikki is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. There is no pressure to buy anything. We attend a cookery class there which was excellent. We were the only 2 and Nikki emails all of the recipes and more. Nikki speaks numerous different languages. Great... More

I don't know about spices much more but mohanlal vermohal spices factory/shop attracts me by its popularity. I went there to buy chai masala that a relative told me to bring from there. They keep fresh and pure quality of various masalas at a very genuine prices.

The best shopping experience while in India. We visited this place in October and we were so happy to find it among all of the other stores that pretend to be the best in town. The daughter of the owner spent more than 20 minutes explaining to us all of her products and also telling us how proud she was... More

When we visited the shop we were received very kindly and the lady-owner showed us all kinds of spices and teas. We could smell the spices and teas and were told how to use them. They smelled great and we bought a lot of it as gift to our family and friends in Holland. They liked the spices very much... More
