While going form Jaiselmer to Bikaner, my driver told that there is a very famous temple dedicated to Baba Ramdev, so we decided to visit it.
The temple seems quite popular among the locals, as there was a lot of people and we had to wait for our turn to have darshan.
The temple compound is surrounded by a very big market.

We were on a group family tour to Rajasthan and proceeding towards Jaisalmer on 26th Oct 2017 and in between we decided to go to Ramdevra village which is 12 kms from Pokhran.
There are only 2 main attractions in Ramdevra Village – 1) Ramdevra Temple and 2) Fair held in Aug-sept every year. Avoid the temple during this period or be ready for long queues as far as 7-8 kms
Entrance to the village is dotted with shops offering Prasad items. There is open Gutter system and you may sometimes smell foul stench. After walking some 200-300 mtrs you come across cross-roads, turn right and walk around 100 paces and you are at the entrance of the temple. There is no facility for keeping your footwear.
Since we visited at around 8pm there were no queue and we could get the Darshan easily. There are other temples in the complex and Bhajan was going on. After Samadhi sthal you have to visit dalibai’s Kangan and then are Samadhi. The present descedants of Ramdev Maharaj also sit in the Temple complex. However everywhere you are asked to give offerings/donate. Approx time taken was 30 mins.
The Temple authorities have to do a lot of work on cleanliness and providing drinking water.
So If you are travelling from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (or the other way), by sparing around 30-45 mins, you can manage to visit this historically religious place during your trip. Note the temple closed at 9PM
Bhagvan Ramdevji Maharaj was a Tunvar Rajput regarded by Hindus as the incarnation of Lord Krishna. History goes that five Pirs from Mecca came to test his miraculous powers and after being convinced, paid their homage to him.
Since then he is respected by Muslims as Ramshahpir or Ramapir. The fame of Ramapir reached far and wide. He believed in the equality of all human beings, both high and low, rich and poor. He helped the down trodden by granting them their wishes. Bhagvan Ramdevji Maharaj took samadhi (conscious exit from the mortal body.) in 1459A.D.
Maharaj Ganga Singh of Bikaner constructed a temple around the samadhi in 1931A.D.

Had been to Baba ramdev samadhi along with in laws and cousins from wife side. Climate was quite cold. It was a peaceful journey and darshan as it was not crowded. People from many background and faith believe in Baba Ramdev.
My visit was absolutely unplanned, as if babaji ka bulava aaya tha. This was my first visit.
