There sure but there are no reviews currently for Mandir Palace. It is converted into heritage hotel but has two areas open for the tourist to see. One is where shooting of film Sarfarosh has happened. It has nice view of the Tazia tower from here. Other is the various collection as part for view. This palace has got very good architecture and nice for photography. One can visit this place for about 30-40mins.

Located in Badal Palace complex near Amar Sagar Pol in the heart of Jaisalmer. You can walk to this place while you visit the city. These were the homes of the former royal family. The Tazia tower is a 5-storied structure where each story has significance in its own. On each floor there is a balcony famous for their individual designs. This was built by Muslim craftsmen and is based on the shape of Tazia. Good for photography.

Part of the Badal Vilas, this 5 storeyed building has limited entry. The tower has delicately carved balconies and stands tall and can be seen from many places in Jaisalmer.

Its located next to Mandir palace. While crossing the market I saw it from a distance. So asked my driver if it's open for public viewing. But he told it can be viewed from outside only. Its located next to Mandir palace.

Located in Badal Palace, this 5 storey structure has a beautifully carved balconies with gorgeous individual designs.
It is part of a complex of palaces - Badal Vilas, Jawahar Vilas, Dari Khana and Zenana Mahal where the former royal family resided. The stone carvings are extraordinary. Provide at least an hour and a half here.

The Tazia Tower is so named because it looks like ... a tazia!
Tazias are Muslim constructions - replicas of tombs (we participated in a tazia festival in Jaipur on a previous trip when small and large tazias were paraded through the streets of the city)

The Tazia Tower although built by Muslims has carving similar to the Rajput havelis in the fort.

You can see the tower from afar as you walk towards it - use a map from any guide book to find your way there.

If you head a bit down the street adjacent to the tower you can get some good shots.

Near to the tower is a caravanserai which had many horses and cows in it when we visited. Also good for a few photos.

Its right in the middle of the market, just besides the street and nobody actually cares about it. You may enjoy, it depends on one's perspective.

Though there is an entry ticket for this place, it remains closed most of the time. The person who gives ticket is also very rude. But we can take a photograph of this structure from the outside.
