This meuseum is really on of the top things to do in bhubaneswar. There is so much to learn here. I would definitely recommend a trip to this place with kids. It also gives a view of the local history of the state of Odisha.

I found this museum to be average in nature..it just shows some of the geographical diversity of our country. I felt like i was being sent back in time to my school days when i went into this place. Kids may like to visit this place but as far as I was concerned, did not enjoy it much... One thing that stands out about this place is that it has no entry fees..

Regional Museum of Natural History imparts knowledge to the visitors about the flora and fauna of East India in general and Orissa in particular. It has several skeletons of different animals, preserved stuffed animals and many other artifical artifacts which are being used to provide information about the different plants and animals species.

The experience was great.
Has a wide variety of exhibits which are quite different from other museum.
Most of the exhibits are unique to this museum. Particularly the skeletons of whales, rhino as well As of an elephant along with the description of the story and efforts behind them added to the thrill. It was a pleasant surprise to see various aspects related to the evolution as well as the sustainance of various species and their exhibits in various forms. A great learning experience for us all. Kids also enjoyed each and every section here. Overall an amazing experience.

The museum looks dated and is not very interactive, despite the decent collection they have. Badly in need of innovative updation with digital audiovisual learning platform.

As the name suggests this museum exhibits a variety of animal species. Some of the major attractions are skeletons of whales and elephant. Kids also get to learn about plants and animals while playing with a button controlled device that makes the picture of the creature glow as children press a button near its description. A bit grown up children will find it fun. However, its a small museum and would hardly need an hour or so to see everything. One can plan to visit the planetarium and this museum one after the other as they are nearly close by.
It might not be a must visit place for tourists, but if you have time and are looking forward to spend some quality time with children, make sure to visit this place.

The museum is ordinary except for the 2 whale skeleton and 1 rhino skeleton exhibits. They should try to add more such exhibits to make the museum interesting
