I found it to be just an average temple. You make skip this one. Its similar to the peace pagoda in Darjeeling, similar architecture, similar environment. Refer photos.

This shrine dedicated to Lord Buddha is located near the site where the famous Kalinga war was fought 2000 years ago that changed the course of Indias history. After the fierce battle Emperor Asoka converted to Buddhism and spread it across Asia.

An isolated monument outside Bhubaneswar, this site is recommended in colder months. Bare feet walk on Marble steps are excruating.

Great Place to go with family and look at ancient scriptures from king Ashoka era in Pali script. The Buddhist Stupa on hills and the light and sound show is worth an experience

8 KM in straight road from Biju Pattnaik Airport. But cur will take 13-15 km depending upon traffic.
