Great place this is. Full of history and rock cut statues and pillar. Buddha statues will definitely give you peace of mind. Can meditate there for hours. Nice view of the city from the top.

We were enamoured with the Buddhist Sthoopa on top of the hill near the place where Emperor Ashoka fought the Kalinga war. We visited in the morning and it started raining when we reached there. We were told that they hold an interesting Sound and Light show on specified days. We couldn't see that. Check the day and time when... More

It is presumed to be the area of the bloody battle of Kalinga, won by the Mauryan emperor Ashoka in 265 BC. It is a peaceful place; you have to climb few stairs to reach. The view... More

This place is on the way to Puri from Bhubaneswar and has a history behind it. After Kalinga War, peace seeking Emperor Ashoka built it after knowing the preaching of Lord Budha. Some shops are present but the quality of cashew is really nice though costly.

Dhauligiri Hills are located about 8 Kilometres away from Bhubaneswar. This hill has the Shanti Stupa which is seen as a big white dome shaped structure.
