The gram devta or the resident god of Pune resides in a temple built by Chatrapati Shivaji's mother Jijabai. Located at a walking distance from the original seat of power in Pune - the Shaniwarwada of the Peshwas, the temple has immense historical connect with the city and has the first right to immersion during the Ganapati utsav. The Kasba Ganapati is also traditionally the first recipient of invitations for any wedding fixed in the local population.

The temple has wooden interiors in the typical Maratha style popular during the Peshwa era. The premises are super clean.

The temple closes during 1 pm to 4 pm and the best time to visit during non-festival days is around the reopening time of 4 pm. Overall a must visit in Pune.
