Place for Devotees
Jan 2021
Visited This in the month of Jan and This place was crowded with devotees. Place offers a good panoramic views for photographers.

Women are not allowed inside the temple and Even men needs to go via small passage .

Visit to this place can be clubbed with few other places near by for one day trip.

Temple At Top Provides Excellent Scenic Panoramic Views
Oct 2019
This is the place near Pune for those who love green nature.
I had been to this place few years ago, it rained heavily so was unable to see the real green nature. This time I was stunned to see the scenic green nature.

If you are from Pune, then there are following two routes to this place:
Taking Pune railway station as a starting point

1. Pune station, Kondhwa, Bopdev Ghat, Kanifnath temple top.
Distance 27 km

2. Pune station, Hadapsar, Phursunghi, Wadki & right turn just before Diveghat on Pune Saswad road to reach Kanifnath temple trek parking area.
This is an easy trek route.
Distance 25 km

Best time to visit:
Day time during September to January.

We did one day trip in following way:
1. Kanifnath temple
2. Balaji temple
3. Panchgani (Sydney Point, Parsi Point & Table Land)

The best things you will find during above trip are:
a) Scenic green views from Bopdev ghat
b) Picturesque panoramic green views from temple top
c) Stunning green nature on route from Kanifnath temple to Balaji temple & Balaji temple to Pune Satara road

Temple Customs:
1. To enter the main temple thru small vertical rectangular opening (1 feet x 1 and 1/2 feet) one has to be in Salman Khan style means shirtless
Photo of small opening is attached & tagged accordingly for ease of readers
2. Leather belts are also to be removed if entering inside main temple
3. One has to lie down put both hands inside alongwith head & shoulder in diagonal way thru the small opening
4. There is latch on inside at the top for hand support to pull your body in

During my visit there was no fee for parking car as well as for footwear.
Snack centers are there on top.
Twenty minutes are more than enough for temple visit.
There are more than 25 steps to climb upto the temple.
It is calm serene environment on temple top.

I have attached the photos taken from:
a) Bopdev ghat top
b) Kanifnath temple top
c) Kanifnath temple to Balaji temple or Pune Satara road
Photos are tagged accordingly.

Surely this is a must place for visit those who love green nature.

When u need a break of just few hours or say half day then you can visit such nice and peaceful place near Pune. It is more close to Hadapsar, Magarpatta and Kharadi. you will have to go through one small ghat which has very nice views of city. Road towards temple is not that good but it is hardly patch of 1-1.5km. You can take your car till temple stairs.

Kanifnath temple, situated on a small hill, surrounded by trees all around is a truly calm place to worship and to find peace from the hustle bustle of the city, very calm and lovely place, vehicles can travel right up to the temple and back, the road is a bumpy but the place is worth a visit.

This temple is on top of the hill near Pune. Its around 10-12 KM from Kondhwa. You need to through Yewalewadi towards Saswad. I have visited many times to this temple and it it is very peaceful you feel around. Also, you can see Pune city from top as how wonderful it look.
