No 'DAM' to visit to
Nov 2019
First and foremost, there is no dam for you to visit. The entry to dam is a side lane and while bikes can easily go, you can hazard driving your car also there. you cannot go over the dam, but can drive past a bit, but it isn't worth is. Rather the H2O boating zone takes you the backwaters and you can enjoy the water ride. do not waste time trying to get to the dam. It sure is a lost opportunity of local tourism, but till that happens, avoid it.

This is one of the beautiful place near Pune in Malshej Ghat. We stayed in Malshej Ghat. Weather was little hot but after visiting this place you will forget about any tiredness. You may enjoy blue water lake.

Serene Lake Near Malshej Ghat.
Jan 2018 • Couples
This is a very big lake with serene waters near Malshej Ghat on the Kalyan - Ahmednagar Highway (NH-61). We happened to pass this lake while driving from Otur to Malshej Ghat. We first crossed a bridge near Junnar across the backwaters of the lake and then we saw the huge expanse of water on the right side as we were driving towards Malsej. There is a lovely backdrop of the hills of the Sahyadris in the background, and the shimmering waters of the lake in the foreground. The sight is beautiful to behold. When we went there were no clouds, but I am sure it will look heavenly in the rainy season, with the monsoon clouds hovering above the hills. We stopped at the resort ‘Saj By The Lake’ for lunch, which has got good rooms bordering the lake and dam. We were told that sometimes migratory flamingos stop by for nesting in the lake during the winter, but there were none at the time we visited.

Nice place
Jun 2016 • Family
The place is beautiful during the monsoon being surrounded by mountains. Best time to visit is just at the ending of monsoon when the lake is full and transforms into a mirror for the scenery around it.

Nice view of long water spread
Apr 2015 • Friends
The view of dam from the way towards base village of Harishchandra gad trek is stunning with a large water spread and a range of mountains in the backdrop. Especially during the full moon night, the view is most stunning.

When i went here i was suddenly raining so the mountains turns green and look so beautiful to watch the complete panaramic view of the mountains. Nice place to be for a short time. This dam will normally come in your way to Malshet Ghat.
