Dam it self is not exciting but there are plenty of places located on the sides if the river and lake which leave you a memorable visit.

Very beutifull and Green place, surrounded by Jungles and Hills, take your own food and water even though we can get there. Good for Family, friends and mostly for the couples, curly roads, river touch roads for at least 20 km... very cool place for Bikers, long drives and trekkers, surrounded by many Forst and old temples if you plan... Situated bit far from the city of pune , this dam is popular with localities as well as tourists as the back water of dam is used for water sports. One can also take a look at beautiful sahyadri hill ranges from the dam.

The place is not really far from my house and so I have been here three times with a gap of almost 8 months during each visit. I must say that people just looking for a long drive might enjoy this...but if you are expecting a lot of adventure and entertainment and foodie outing, you are sure to get disappointed.... More

We enjoyed our weekend at Panshet Dam.This is a nice place for a one day excursion. Perfect place for persons which are water-sports freak. There are facilities for kayaking, speed boat rides few water rides like 'banana' ride and water scooters. Panshet is just about 50Kms from Pune which makes it an attractive one day picnic spot from Pune.

Panshet Dam is among the four dams which supply water to Pune city. The drive to the lake alone is worth it, during which you pass through the scenic backwaters of the Khadakwasala Dam and Venkateshwara Hatcheries. The Dam and the reservoir (named as Tanaji Sagar, after the heroic Maratha general), are extremely scenic particularly during the monsoon. That said,... More

The dam is situated near Singhad rd. It is very road is very salient as there no much traffic and you will feel lonely and pleasant in that area also once you reach seeing backwaters you forget your tierdness. Also in back they provide boating facility also

Feels very relaxed here. having food looking the beauty of water is awesome. There is a spot where you can only see the water from the iron nets. The water at that spot has the pure greenish blue colored texture which is the beauty for nature lovers.

Must drive to the dam and if the rains are in flow, the sight of the water is a must see. The only dam with water apart from the Khadakavasla dam, supplies water to alomst 1/3rd of Pune city.
