- Ravindra VHyderabad, India1,547 contributionsA replica of Taj MahalThis is one of the famous attractions in Aurangabad. It is also known as the mini Taj Mahal as it is an exact replica of the Taj Mahal. It was built by Aurangzeb, son of Shahjahan. Like Taj Mahal, Aurangzeb built this monument in his wife's remembrance. It is nicely maintained and will look great when you visit during night time. It is open till 10:30 pm.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 25, 2023
- marlenes170179Bangalore District, India214 contributionsBibi ka Maqbara - aa beautiful as the TajBuilt by Aurangazeb son for his mother the first wife of Aurangazeb. I found it even more beautiful then the Taj Mahal She was.the daughter of the shah of Iran so she must have been a beauty. She was simple and loved unlike her husband whose grave is in such a shabby state.compared to her mausoleum. It's a must see and is open till 10pm U get auto that charge a out 80 to 100inr. The entrance arch has the most beautiful colors depicting mughal art and well preserved to date. The main mausoleum has a mosque on the left believed to have been built later by the Nizam of hyd.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 28, 2023
- BOJOThomasBridgend, United Kingdom78 contributionsDefinitely mini Taj MahalOne of the places to see in Aurungabad. The garden tomb has such potential and is kept reasonably well but clear that there has not been as much financial investment in it like some of the other places we have been to. Lots of area to walk around but most people concentrate on seeing the entrance and walkway to the tomb. Weekends very busy. Worth visiting once at least before seeing the Taj Mahal.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 6, 2023
- Debashis TDehradun, India2,297 contributionsTaj Mahal of WestThis is the only example of Mughal architecture on the Deccan Plateau. It is recommended not to take any guide, as there is hardly anything where you need any explanation. The parking place is huge. From the entry gate, it is a short walk along the empty water way.Entry ticket is Rs. 20 per person; camera is Rs. 25. It's the only attractive monument in Aurangabad, so don’t skip it.Visited March 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 27, 2023

We went there in the Evening because we wanted to See it under the lights also Ticket counter was crowded as this was a Saturday Eve. We took a good walk and the Place looks beautiful in the Night.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten February 19, 2024

Many people do not know about this monument, the foot-fall is not so great. The place needs proper lighting in evening and the fountains which were placed like Taj Mahal they never run. Government should seriously look into the maintenance.

This monument built by aurangazeb's son in memory of his mother is built on the patterns of Taj Mahal at agra. However this monument is much paler in comparison. The garden around the monument is huge and a vast square but maintenance is average. The monument itself is huge and involves considerable walking. Car parking facility though provided is actually a garbage dump. There is much scope for improving facilities for tourists who visit this place.

The Bibi Ka Maqbara (English: "Tomb of the Lady") is a tomb located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was commissioned in 1660 by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in the memory of his first and chief wife Dilras Banu Begum (posthumously known as Rabia-ud-Daurani) and is considered to be a symbol of Aurangzeb's 'conjugal fidelity'.It bears a striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum of Aurangzeb's mother, Mumtaz Mahal. Aurangzeb was not much interested in architecture though he had commissioned the small, but elegant, Pearl Mosque at Delhi. Bibi Ka Maqbara is the largest structure that Aurangzeb has to his credit.

Not too far from the city centre, bibi ka maqbara is a good monument also called Mini Tajmahal.
We went here in morning hours which is a good time to visit this place. There is enough parking place here. The gardens and the setup is very similar to the one at TajMahal.
Ticket counter is located near to the entry gate. Place is neat and well kept.

This place is very close to the city approximately 5 to 6 km from station road. One can easily access here by auto. It’s a fabulous monument however not well maintained. But must see in Aurangabad.
Due to Independence Day Celebration in August we got free entry, they informed till 15 August 2022 entry fees is free.
We came here by autorickshaw in the morning. Mr. Jamil, the auto driver was very helpful. He offers trip to Ellora caves, Ellora temple (Grishneshwar), Daulatabad fort, Aurangzeb’s Tomb, Bibi ka Maqbara, Panchakki at reasonable price.
Should you wish to contact Mr. Jamil Chacha (Auto), he is available at +919960030265. He will also provide pickup from hotel.

Must see place in Aurangabad. Recommend you take a guide (cost around 200/-) as they will tell you more about its history.
It could be better maintained though.
Visit before 6pm though its open till 9.30pm..as the lightning is not sufficient to view the monument after dark.

Had visited this historic tomb in Aurangabad a long back ago. It is a popular tourist attraction and is visited by tourists.
This tomb was built in 1668 by Aurangzeb's son, Azam Shah in memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begam. It bears a striking resemblance to the Taj Mahal in Agra and is known as 'Taj of the Deccan'. It has a marble entrance gateway, a garden, a mosque, 4 minarets, a pathway etc. There is a garden on the rear side which is dried up. One has to remove footwear before entering the main tomb. It gets crowded due to an influx of tourists. The facade of this tomb is dusty and the entire place needs to be maintained. The entrance fees are Rs. 25 per Indian and Rs. 300 per foreigner. Still camera is Rs. 25 per person. However, there was no proper lane discipline at the ticket counter. Beware of local rowdy boys who act as pickpocketers. It is a good place for photography and is under ASI.
This tomb is an ideal place for families, couples, tourists, school children, photographers, history lovers as well as architecture buffs. It is a must visit and should not be missed when in Aurangabad.
