Located within the Western group of temples, Lakshmana Temple is one of the biggest of the group. Intricately carved, each temple has a lot of history attached to them.

Lakshmana temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and was built between 930-950 AD by King Yasovarman of the Chandela Dynasty. The primary idol is a sacred image of Vaikuntha-Vishnu supposedly brought from Tibet. Serious tourists are recommended to take an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)...More

Well...that's where the guided tour starts. It is older that Kandharia Mahadev Temple. Being 1st of the lot, we spent most of the time here.

No. you can not walk between all the temples as they are far away. They charge nominal entrance fee. But it's recommended to take a guide who will explain all the details.
