This temple is dedicated to the sun god Surya. It’s very similar to the adjacent Devi Jagdamba. The main thing I liked about this temple is the better preserved relief sculptures of surasundari, or the Hindu understanding of an idealized female form.

This temple, unlike the name, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is one of the best preserved temples of Khajuraho. Beautifully adorned. At times I feel people have focused too much on the erotic part of these temples, which actually forms a small part only of the entire decor.

Surya stands on his chariot drawn by seven horses in this temple. It is a beautiful temple, but simpler than the others in the Western group. It is next to the Jagadambika temple, on a separate jagati than the Kandariya Mahadeva

Located within the western group on the north side. This temple like the others in the group has outstanding carvings surrounding the exterior and within.

According to the ASI, this temple is similar to 'Jagadamba' temple. The main image in the sanctum is that of Surya standing in a chariot driven by seven horses. Although it looked more like 'Suryanarayana', it is tough to make a distinction due to the ruined idol.
The temple has "the carvings of some of the finest figures of sura-sundaris, erotic couples and gods including eleven headed Vishnu in the centre niche of the south facade" according to the ASI.
The architecture is a marvel.

This is also part of the western group of temples at the for end and adjacent to Jagadambiga temple. The Sun God, Surya, standing in the Chariot drawn by seven horses can be seen in the inner sanctum. The temple walls are filled with beautiful sculptures all round. There are many erotic sculptures in the middle height of the towers. With a zoom camera you can get perfect photos of these erotic sculptures. I am wondering why this temple is called as Chitragupta temple( who is supposed to be the Minister/accountant of God Yama), where as the temple has its main deity Surya( sun god).

Chitragupta temple falls in the western group temples of Khajuraho. this temple is a few meters away of famous Kandariya Mahadev temple. This is dedicated to Sun and has b'ful carvings of Sura-Sundaries (wine and beautiful nude girls) on the walls. In front of the temple, there is a big park with green grass. The total atmosphere is mesmerizing.

This is another beautiful temple in western group of temples and a must see temple. There is no idol in the temple. But there are nice huge statues and carvings inside and outside the temple.
Dedicated to Sun God, there is a huge chariot drawn by seven horses and the idol of Surya riding the chariot. Need to climb some steps to see the temple. The lady in the temple had a torch and she was kind enough to show us the Sanctum Sanctorum. There was no electricity supply in the temple when we visited the temple.
Nice place to visit.
