We took the Shatabdi Express fro Delhi at 4:30pm to Amritsar. The train arrived in Amritsar at 10:45 pm. Taking the Shatabdi was quite a surprising experience for me and definitely not what I expected. For one, you are assigned neat and comfortable coach style seats and are able to store your luggage in overhead compartments. Space for luggage is... More

For a fantastic train experience, take the 7.15 Shatabdi Express which leaves from Chennai Central station to Coimbatore. From there, you can take a car (or train) to Mettupalayam. The following day, board the world Heritage cog wheel steam train (Toy Train) up tp Ooty. This is a fantasic experience. Sit back and enjoy incredible views while marvelling at such... More

One of the excellent train with stupendous time management... It leaves and arrives on the dot.... But as usual the food served is lowest class.. I give them the following ratings Train interior #8/10 Timings #10/10 Food #3/10 Go only if you need to reach the fastest land route

The train was more than an hour late. The train station was crowded and with all of our bags we had no option but to stand and wait. We had bed-like births, not seats. the people we met were friendly and courteous, though they spoke no English. A vendor came through with food but we had brought our own snacks.... More

We had booked second class A/C. It's 8 hours from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. You need to book in advance. The train departed on time and staff served breakfast followed by lunch. Seats were comfortable and locals friendly and chatty. A much better way to see India than flying. We arrived in Ahmedabad on time. The train pulls over 26 carriages... More

We booked the 6.45pm Shatabdi Express from Jhansi to Agra and were in Executive Seating. After negotiating the chaos that is Jhansi Station – thank goodness we had a guide who arranged for porters to take our luggage up the steep steps and over the bridge to the correct platform - the train left on time. We did have concerns... More

You can finish your work and return same day by same train. They serve food in train. This time catering contract was given to CumSum n... More

It's an early rise for the 6am departure and the reward is the fastest train journey I'm India today and a full day in Agra. Take Executive Class and you'll be greated with the morning newspaper and a red rose before being served tea. Then it's corn flakes and a banana with hot milk reminding me of the European Winter...
