Agatti and bangaram islands
Dec 2019 • Family
Crystal clear lagoons, good hospitality by islanders and fresh sea food is the highlight.getting visiting permit and tickets is uncertain up to last days of departure even if planning well in advance due to various reasons is the drawback.

A true paradise
Nov 2019 • Friends
Agatii island is one of the coral paradise in India. First , getting permit is a humungous task . You'll be needing police verification certificate to apply for a permit which is hard to get depending upon the state you're in and then you have to apply for local permit. Plan a month in advance for all these .

We stayed across the beach in a home stay which was awesome. You can see clear waters everywhere. The locals sre much friendly . The food is really good mostly tuna fish. Eastern ,western jetty and lagoon beach are places to see here . Turtles are freely roaming, one can hire a boat to see them alone .Don't miss the sunset in the lagoon beach which is another level.

Others places to visit are bangaram and thinnakara islands which is an hour boat ride and kalpeti a nearby island from agatii.

Agatti Island need a permit to visit
May 2019 • Family
Lakshadweep Govt. don't have any accommodation at Agatti Island. There are private cottages under home stay category where tourists can stay. A permit is required to visit and stay at Agatti Island. For our trip, a Travel agent from Cochin called 'Holiday Planet Tours' arranged permits and packages for our family. They have also arranged day trips to Bangaram, Thinnakara and Kalpitti islands from Agatti. Home stays are standard category. Holiday Planet Tours's staff are professional and specialized in Lakshadweep packages. Food was good. We had enough sea food. Vegetarian and Jain food were available on request. It is always better to go with this kind of reliable operators so that we can enjoy our trip without any headache.

Peaceful island- gateway to Lakshadeep islands
Feb 2019 • Couples
Agatti island is the gateway to Lakshadeep islands as it is the only island which has an airport and flight connectivity to Kochi. It is around 1 hour 15 min flight from Kochi in an ATR run by Air India. From airport there are taxis or autos plying. The island is around 7.6 km long. The Lagoon beach is on the other end of the island. From airport is would take around 20-25 min to reach the Lagoon beach. We infact purchased some dried tuna fish from the fishermen who were drying the smoked tuna fish. Also it was nice to see the locals visiting the beach in the evening and children playing on the beach

One has to experience the Pristine Environment. No Water Pollution, No Air Pollution, Limited Internet Connectivity. Sun beaches. Endless to explain.

Peacefull iseland.
Dec 2018 • Solo
I had been to this iseland on the 5th of Dec18 and 10th while going and coming back from Kavaratti iseland.I requested SPORTS person who came to receive me to arrange a trip around Agatti on the way to airport. And he happily obliged me.It is a small iseland with laid back life if we compare it with another iseland Kavaratti. Roads are narrow but clean. There are few shops.people are very simple and cooperative.sea beaches are really beauty.crystal clear water nd clean beaches.
There are two private resorts owned by She shell group nd Kasim homestays just on the beach. SPORTS does not offer any package for this iseland. One can enjoy the sea from the rooms of the resorts.
Special mention of the runway of the airport.A small strip(as only ATR lands here) sorround by the sea on both sides. It was a mesmerizing view
And amazing moments as soon as I got down from the plane. There is one flight only from Banlgluru and kochi.

Sleeping on the beach
Aug 2017
I will never forget one night we slept on the beach here. We had taken the SPORTS package where we were supposed to stay on the ship overnight. But the sea was very violent that evening, and our boats to take us to the ship kept drowning on every try, so finally we were told to sleep on the beach that night.

Gateway of Lakshadweep - Its Agatti Island
May 2018 • Couples
Hi guys, Agatti island is only a transit island to all the tourists going to other island named Bangaram, Tinnakara, Kavaratti, Kadmat etc. But if we request our travel agent (our agent Mr.Raj, 9526217885) they will arrange a sight seeing at Agatti for 2-3 hrs. Agatti is really blessed island with good coral reef. We can see near by island named Kalpatti also. But we can't stay at Agatti buz foreign nationals have some entry permit restrictions. Anyway its a really nice hours that we spent at Agatti.
