This backwater lake is almost with very less tourist, so you can have more privacy. We went for boating on this tranquil waterway and the shore full of coconut trees makes us feel very calm - that's nature's speciality. If you ready to spend time without any urgency, then this place is for you!

One of the biggest backwaters very close to the sea and the ride is in a speed boat. As it was raining, we were lucky to come back on time as otherwise you can get wet. All safety life jackets are provided before the ride and it is truly a great experience

Only boating available in kappil lake...it's near to kappil beach... We taken a one boat with five people and cost will come around 1200 INR per hour... You can see full natural scenery and boat will take you under the railway bridge..awesome experience

The only place in india with a road dividing backwaters and beach. Never seen a beach which is so clean and quite. Very less or no tourist at all. Must recomend u carry plenty water and something to munch as there are very less shacks.

I walked, its about an hour each way from Varkala but a really interesting walk. This is where the backwaters meet the ocean and is very scenic.

In kerala everywhere it is full of back waters and lakes. This particular Lake is really very vast and looks like sea but for the coconut trees lining. A treat to nature lovers.Very calm place.

It's wonderful place to spend ur evening time by watching the mesmerising sunset (if u go in noon time it would be sooo hot) along with the beautiful beach & lake separated by a single road. We was jus awestruck by the breathtaking views of both the backwaters lake & beach. Boating is available in the laķe if you are... More
