Big yoga shala and open so the air is fresh and nice lightning

It can be quiet intense but if you listen to your body and rest when its needed you ll be fine :) i appreciated the fact that they didnt put pressure on me .

You can learn the silence in yourself. Center will teach you how to learn yoga and meditation. Very calm and quiet atmosphere, you can stay as per payment basis.

I was quite anxious to have 5 days at Sivananda for the yoga retreat as the reviews on trip advisor have been very polar. But my experience was amazing! You need to know before you go that you will be fitting into the ashram schedule which is designed for you to get the full benefit for each your body, mind... More

To my mind, this has to be rated as one of the best places in india where knowledge is imparted without any expectations from the student. This place is in its true sense a ASHRAM which we in our childhood have read or heard of. All the members are always there to help in whatever way they can. Please don't... More

My first experience in an ashram- bliss. Everybody is so welcoming and friendly and takes care of you from the minute you step in the tall wooden gates of paradise. Large clean dorms, great food, interesting lectures- and fantastic experienced yoga teachers. A beautiful landscaped complex Improved over 30 years.. I loved my time here and wish I could have... I stayed for 3 weeks in april, on my own and it was the best! The ashram is such a beautiful place, so green, feels like youre in the middle of the jungle! Daily program is very good, yoga classes are of high quality with good teachers. Though its not a very strict ashram, people skipped early morning satsang and... More

I completely agree with the previous reviewer. I signed up for a two week 'Yoga Vacation'. I have previously been to a Yoga Retreat in Costa Rica where you stay in a nice hotel, surf in the morning then are free to partake in any or all of the yoga classes during the day. You are free to eat whatever,... More

Dear Tina Thank you very much for your review. We are always grateful for feedback and some of your comments have resulted in changes at the Ashram so we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your views. Beach front cult compound ( like Waco Texas) promoting yoga and pray on young kid's monies in hope they will become yoga teachers but infact it's a bacteria ridden ranch extorting $$$$ in the name of the Buddhist religion they so hijacked. Button line the place is dirty, the food has no nutritional factors and bacteria ridden. Stay away!

I did my TTC here in March 2016, and it was awful. The teachers especially the Bhagavad Gita teacher was so bad that she taught us this beautiful scripture in an awful manner with lots of negativity and lack of respect. Almost all the staff, especially the male volunteers are incredibly rude and treated me like I was a criminal... More

Dear Sir It is difficult to give a balanced response to your review. I am not sure if you brought up your points of discontent to the attention of the staff during the course. As you will know, there were senior staff assigned as counselors at three times of the day, throughout the course to counsel and take forward any... More

This place will give you a quick check on where you stand as yourself. Your body, your mind. How much can you tame it? Besides, its a gorgeous property. Must try the yoga vacation course- a mix of philosophy lectures, satsangs and asana classes. You will go back feeling a little different from what you were when you got there,... More
