Ashram isn't everyone's couple of tea so I get some of the negative reviews. However my stay at the Ashram was refreshing and set me on a path of self discipline. For that I'm truly grateful to the staffs who upheld and maintained Swamiji's vision. My experience with the Ayurveda treatments at yhe clinic were a complete different story. The... More

I had an amazing experience and definitely recommend it for anyone looking to try an ashram,. First, I'll say that I completely understand the negative reviews. If you don't fully understand what this place is, and what you're getting yourself into, it can be very shocking. But if you are looking to experience ashram life and are open to trying... More

We spent a week here in low season and it was very peaceful and quiet. The ashram follows a strict schedule but there was still personal free time and it felt like a good balance. Learned a lot about yoga and meditation, and just soaked in the wonderful atmosphere and scenery.

If go here in the low season it is great, the ashram is quiet and there is a lot of person attention for improving the ashram. Be prepared that the ashram is not only about yoga, even when you do the yoga vacation there will be 2x per day 1,5 hour chanting and wore shipping the gods.. I found my... More

We've never been to an ashram before, but got this one recommendes by locals. So we have no other ashram (nor yoga) experience to compare it too. We stayed 4 days. But we just dived in completely open and went with the flow and found the experience wonderful. They must've updated the food, because it was great. Especially the brunches... More

This is one of the very few ashrams in the South & North where I have been amazed at the subtle influence the integrated ashram program has on my body, mind, heart & soul. I have done the Yoga vacations,Yoga Teacher Training Course here & subsequently the Sadhana Intensive Course in Uttarkashi. The food is fresh, sattvic & nourishing &... More

I visited the place not having any expectations but was beautifully surprised. Would recommend the dormitory than the rooms. The food is very good and the place is clean. Be prepared to wake up in the morning for the satsang which prepares for the whole day. Love the trees and the plants around. The dip in the lake near by is... More

I was quite anxious to have 5 days at Sivananda for the yoga retreat as the reviews on trip advisor have been very polar. But my experience was amazing! You need to know before you go that you will be fitting into the ashram schedule which is designed for you to get the full benefit for each your body, mind... More
