Need to visit the temple if you are in Thiruvananthapuram. The architecture of the temple is very imposing. Also the deity of Lord Vishnu in "Anantha Shayanam" pose. This temple has strict dress code - saris for women and mundu for men. If you do not carry your own, there are stalls outside who rent it. These may or may... More

Reached temple just in time when it was about to be closed for afternoon. Darshan was good, one need to know how the deity is positioned i.e. sleeping position, to realize it at the time of darshan else you will keep wondering on did you really see the deity!

We have visited this temple on morning time 6:30 Am - 7:00 Am time slot and reached there 5:15 Am and got first darshan of lord vishnu in just Rs. 180 ticket for special darshan. Temple is very big and ancient there are hundred of pillers with beautiful sculptures on it.

Right in the centre of Trivandrum, this temple is a must visit for its historical and cultural significance. Unlike the other temples, you can enjoy its beauty and clever architecture even if you are not a devotee.

We saw the positive reviews and that it was the #1 item on things to do in Trivandrum. But we were informed by our guide that non-Hindus were strictly not allowed. You will end up visiting the Padmanabhapuram Palace next door as a consolation prize, otherwise it would be an utterly wasted journey.

We visited this temple as part of our pilgrimage to temples in the south of India.Access to the temple through the thekke nada or south gate was easy, with good parking, at least on the morning we went.Went in at 830 am, were sold entry passes by a sweet, sensitive, traditionally dressed young lady, and stood in the queue. After around 15...
