I had the opportunity to visit the famous temple on my first visit to Trivandrum. I visited on a weekday evening and could manage my way through - there wasn't much rush. I think its a good visit for the believers. Just make sure you follow rules, timings and yes the dress code.

Not Hindus are not allowed to visit the temple inside. Outside the arquitecture is astonish. I also enjoy observing the pilgrimage outfits when they were entering the temple. Women in their gorgious Saris, and men that reminding me ancient historical times.

It's an awesome temple with pleasant environment. Darshan is done through three doors adjacent to each other. Buying a special ticket will help you avoid standing in long cues. The temple is accessible only in traditional attire, which means dhoti for guys and nothing on top. The dhotis are available for purchase outside the temple premise. Electronics like cameras are... One of the must visit location in Trivandrum. Sree Padmanabhaswamy idol is seen reclined on the Anantha (Snake) and the idol is studded with precious gems and jewels. Dont miss the wonderful mural arts on the walls of the inner sanctum. Paalpayasam (the offering) offered here tastes best. Given a chance do try to visit the temple on the day... More

It's an awesome temple with pleasant environment. we can have darshanam through three doors which are adjacent to each other. We took ticket for spl. Darshanam. We have to enter temple in traditional attire. We can find dothi stalls nearby. Electronics like cams are strictly prohibited.
