Its an architectural splendor dating back to early 1900s & displays a unique collection of traditional & contemporary paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, the Roerichs, Tagore, etc. as well as some Chinese, Japanese & Balinese paintings.
A separate ticket has to be taken to enter the Art Gallery. Photography is not allowed, nor touching any paintings. Security guards act as a guide to describe every detail about the picture if you show interest.
