A beautiful Palace, well maintained. You can see a very large and rare collection of old antiques like statues, sculptures, weapons, manuscripts etc. As many Palaces in Kerala, this one is also built with wood.

only place to see in poonjar - a 30 km from pala. Architecture ancient. Can club vagamon visit with poonjar.

Very hard to find and closed for visit. They are getting angry too maybe lots are coming. Its not a tourist place just like someones big house and they dont like strangers - Cant blame them.

The Poonjar Palace is a glorious testimony to the regal opulence of a bygone era.A unique conch preserved here is taken out once a year for ritualistic purposes.

Being a nearby resident to this "palace" I was gung ho when came to know of this. Having a more likeness to antiques and to kill boredom I thought of paying a visit just to have a 'break'. But to my utter dismay I came to realize that it is not thrown to public for such 'casual' visits. Had interacted... More

It is like looking for a needle in a haystack and at the end when you reach the place, the inmates inform you that this is not a tourist place *Stay away*

Inmates came out and told that there was nothing to see. Needs review and decision if this needs to be in the sight seeing spots list
