Beach with fishing nets

Lots of Chinese fishing nets are seen around and water is on an average, clean. Pretty much good to go for good time pass.

After seeing a lot of reviews, we were keen on this beach but to be frank it was just an average beach. There is hardly any beach as the water comes up to meet the row of rocks so there is just a narrow passage to walk which could be termed as the "beach". If one wants to walk, you... More

Me and my wife visited this beach after watching a documentary on travelXP. We visited beaches at Kovalam, Cherai and Fort Kochi. The only advantage of Cherai beach is that it is cleaner compared to other two beaches, however, I think that this place is overhyped. One can skip this place without regrets. Thanks, Tarun

The Tourism Department of Kerala is taking us all for a ride. There is nothing, nothing at all to enjoy. There are lots of locals crowding the beach because they must be thankful for the space, but the tourists would find the place rather disappointing and distasteful.

One side roaring of sea waves and breeze of water drops. Other side the calmness of the rustic kerala backwaters and feel like you are in an island. Different restaurant with various cuisines ranging from International to traditional kerala style dishes. Evening walk along the beach is awesome. Thick coconut groves and Chinese fishing nets on the waterfront are added... More

No beach left here :) Waste of time going to this spot is what i feel. But from here you can travel 4kms to your left of the beach and find a private area which is kinda beach like. its small, but you can have fun there.

Cherai is quite famous as it has the unique location of sea on one side and backwater on the other. The beach is not too dirty, but can be crowded. The sea is shallow and you can have a nice dip. Getting to the water is not easy because of the sea wall that is present

the water is right up to the rocks so there really was no beach to speak of and it's full of black clay because of the rains but we had a great time standing around nevertheless.
