Beautiful waterfall on the way to Munnar from Kochi.
It's a stepped waterfall. The area is accessable.
Best during monsoons.
I visited in December hence not enough water.
If you love waterfalls, you will like this one but try to visit it in months around monsoons or during the monsoon.

This falls is en-route to Munnar from cochin. The area has ample parking area with light refreshments stalls.

There's an option to go near & below the falls to take pictures.

Tips :
1) Keep car/bus windows closed to keep away monkey thieves
2) Keep kids close for safety

If you feel that my review was informative, kindly vote it as helpful as an encouragement 👍

It was our first stop on way from Cochin Airport to Munnar and it was a welcome break the water falls were nice and we could climb up the small cliff to get clicked with the falls, the road is quiet wide and even buses could stop there for the viewing, also along the road were small shops selling freshly cut pineapple, and unripe mangoes with some masala with was very nice and juicy

Our driver stopped here as we were on our way from airport. A nice and small water fall. The water was less because of start of summer. Nice tea and and spot to buy some portraits near the waterfall.

It is in the middle of the way to go to Munnar from Cochin Highway.
Its is not that much recommended for a complete plan of Water falls attraction.

But for a 10 minutes time it will be a break for the people who travelling from long towards Munnar.

It is a nice slightly over rated place. The water falls from a great height and capturing the entirety of it in a single lens is difficult. But it is not a "must do" on your itinerary. However, if you are coming from Kochi or Kumarakom to Munnar or vice versa, this will be on the way.. and when I say on the way, it's on the highway.. No detours to be taken.

Lots of touts and tourists present. Some stupid ones go all the way down to stand close to where the water is falling not knowing that it's slippery. One wrong move and you will go tumbling down a couple of hundred feet. But then they must have read that stupidity never killed anyone..!

For me who has seen the NIagara and has spent half his life in the Western Ghats of India, this waterfall did not make much sense. a quick two minute stop, a word of acknowledgement and I was off to my destination. In my opinion, that is what this place deserves.

The drains in India have a better flow than this waterfall. We had been here in March and we could barely see the water trickle.
Although it was enroute our hotel hence we had a small break.

While driving from Kochi to Munnar..this Cheeyappara waterfalls is generally the first pit stop. The falls is very gigantic..post monsoon Falls is really mesmerising. The Cheeyappara Waterfall cascades down in seven steps. Surrounding stalls of fruits and homemade chocolates are also a good buy.

Had heard a lot about these falls falling on way to Munnar, between Neraimangalam and Adimali, but When we reached the place, there was no water in the falls due to dry season. However, the place offers a nice view, is just on the way and anyone can have a small break to have some snacks here. a great view and pitstop on the way.
