Followed google maps and was there in about 15 minutes from Mangalore. Took a U turn to the left right before the toll gate and i was there in no time. The road is narrow enough just for a car to pass and hence we need to be very careful. The road next to the toll gate is wide enough... More

Surathkal beach with its Light House and Temple presents a calm and nice environment for outing. Sea being bit rocky - not a favorite for swimming, still you enjoy the water and cleanliness. Across the road, from NITK engineering college, and very near to Surathkal town; worth a visit.

Suratkal town near Mangalore is known for the famous NIITK Engineering College as well as Suratkal beach. For the students of the college coming across India, this is a place where they can relax from their daily routine

One of the beautiful and clean beaches that I have visited in Mangaluru, with an additional attraction of a light house. Very few people visit this beach as its a little far from the city.

This place is near NITK suratkal. It is a good place to view sunset. Light house is an added attraction, but light house gets closed by 5. There is a temple there and you can also visit it

surathkal beach has not been explored much. You would be surprised to see the cleanliness of the beach. The best part if it's not very crowed and you get to go to the light house.

The beach had no people when we went there. But the road along the beach makes its well accessible. Can only stay till evening.

I be here whenever I visit Mangalore. The beach is seldom crowded and has a lighthouse too.Looks wonderful in the evenings and the beaten rice mix(charmuri) from the beach side vendors tastes the best.
