Nijagal hill is a lower altitude hill located at Dobbaspet, Karnataka. This place is mainly observed for visitors as a trekking destination. It’s a moderate trekking. Other probable reasons for visiting this hill would be – 1. It’s greenery 2. The cool gentle breeze 3. No air or noise pollution 4. Openness 5. Acquiring peace of mind through relaxation 6. Try meditation in the nature to build creative thoughts 7. Exploration of a new place within very reach that offers lifetime memories

We started from Bangalore around 1.30pm and reached the foothills around 4pm. It is quite an easy trek. There is a Darga on the way to the top, where there were few people who had come to worship. Just a little above the Darga, there is a temple in ruins which we visited while climbing down. Our first priority was to go to the top of the hill. It was an easy climb. There were many monkeys which followed us to the top. At the top there is one more Darga and a cave temple. The view from the top is breathtaking. But the place is very dirty. There are lots of thrown clothes and plastic. We couldn't stay at the top for long time owing to some bad smell from the waste things. We took about one hour to reach the top and another hour to come down. Then we visited the ruined temple. It was a good trip but the only negative thing is that the place is very dirty, not maintained at all.

Nijagal Betta is located in Bangalore tumour road. Sunset can be viewed from the top of the mountain. On the top calmness can be felt. A better place to meditate and relax. It is a twenty minutes of trekking to reach the top.
