One of Bangalore’s busiest markets, the KR market, hides this surprise: an elegant palace built by Tipu Sultan, with teak pillars and frescoes. Though incomparable to the more famous Tipu Sultan’s palace at Mysore, this is one of the relatively unknown monuments of Bangalore. Visit this palace along with the ruins of the fort nearby. Also nearby are a temple and a mosque.

Tipu Sultan's Fort and Palace, popularly known as Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace is very small and average Palace. The max time taken to see full place is 15-20 mins. Decent place and should visit if you can spend half an hour.

A very small fort, we hardly spent 15 minutes there, good for clicking photographs. I won't say it is a must watch, but you can visit if you have got spare time.

This is a tiny palace. Interesting for history and architecture buffs though nothing extra ordinary. Makes a good 20 minutes visit.

It's one of the smallest forts ever seen. It will take not more than 45 minutes for a complete tour of the place including the time you may need for clicking as many selfish and groupfies you may desire. With a total of two tiers to this Fort don't confuse Tipu Sultan for a miser or a poor ruler. As... More

The photos will tell you all there is about this place - two storeys lots of arches and a front and rear facing aspects which were identical. That's about it - interesting but doesn't repay more than a short visit. Good temple next door though.

The place is simple and not of high grandeur, however visiting it in the present context of the IT hub Bangalore right outside the gates is interesting. It takes you on a internal journey, where the city’s history is rediscovered. Respect the photography restriction inside and please don't touch the walls.

There is some history to see at the summer palace, but it'd be a better experience for visitors if there were a tour guide or someone to give us more details of the place. Although there is staff, they're just there to look after the place.
