St. Mary's Basilica is a Roman Catholic church in Bengaluru that was the first in the Karnataka state to be raised to the status of a minor basilica. The last time I expected to see in South Asia is a church built in Neo Gothic style. By the standards of Gothic, the supporting columns are quite low such that the detail the floral decorations on the capitals of the columns can be clearly seen.

Nice place to visit and interesting to see Neo Gothic in Bengaluru.

Very mangificent architechture of this church. I loved the artsy galleries inside the church and there was a choir their on Sundays and I also had a chance to witness a baptism.

If in Bangalore try not to miss this beautiful Basilica. I went on a Saturday morning just in time for the English mass. Just to sit in the Church is a wonderful and calm experience. There is a gift shop with moderately priced articles. The toilets take some finding which are at the back of the Church. All in all a wonderful experience.

Mother Mary cares for her children and sees them through their every difficulty. No mother will give her children a stone when they ask for bread.

Not only this church is situated in a very crowded Russel Market area, but also it is in the Muslim part of the city of Bangalore.
Imposing Roman Catholic Architecture with central high dome of 1800s beam and pillar construction with a tall tower.
Breathtaking building. It is very calm and serene inside and there is an added prayer hall for crowded days. Parking will be the only issue.

Very old and very nice Basilica of Mother Mary. Located at just a stone throwing distance from Shivajinagar Bus Stand, attracts devotees from all religions. The yearly feast is very attractive and pulls a lot of devotees from all over Bangalore and from all walks of society.

We came across the basilica purely by chance. It was a very moving experience. Unlike European basilica, this one is very indian with jasmin and frangipani flowers all over the place and it was an eye opening experience. If you come to Bangalore this is a must see!
