The tree is quite huge, but there is nothing much to see at this location. But places near by are good. On the way plenty of nurseries are available for people how want to purchase flowers and plants. Few kilometers further Menchenbele Dam could be another nice destination.

This place has a giant banyan tree (to be precise, there is no one tree but all are offshoots of same tree). There is not much to this place other than that, recommend visiting this place enroute to Mysore based destinations. Locals frequent this place during mornings and evenings. Beware of monkeys, some of them are aggresive and will snatch... More

Though I have been on Mysore-Bangalore highway several times and probably would have spotted a glimpse of this unique, monstrous, old banyan tree, it wasn't until recently that I decided to stopover and give it its due. Nice to stretch legs in the huge shades this mother nature creation offers. Try it yourself!

It's a single tree covering across 3 acres of land. You will feel like sitting in a park covered with trees. But, the only difference is It's covered with single tree. You can still amazed. Apart from tree there are lot of monkey families are staying in this tree. So. Be care full with your belongings and eatables. Buyer avoid... More

I have visited this beautiful place several times. Yesterday my friends came from Delhi and wanted to visit the big Banyan Tree (Dodda Alada Mara in Kannada). We all five friends went to see this huge tree. This big tree is around 400 years old and covers an area of 3 acres. The tree is one of the largest of... More

It's like entering a maze where the puzzle is to find out the origin of the Banyan tree. It's little inside from Mysore road and you can also enjoy the drive.

It is one of those places that you go to just to be able to answer Yes, when someone asks you- Hey have you been to that 400 year old tree place? The only other thing that you will marvel at are the tiny little monkeys that will be goofing around.
